I have been watching The Darling Buds of May recently and one of the characters name is Primrose and thought I see what people thought of Primrose for a girls name?

FYI, Her full name is Primrose Violet Anemone Iris Magnolia Narcissa Larkin. :D

I think the name Primrose is pretty, but I like it only as a middle name, I think. That is one long name, haha.

Btw, You should post these kinda things in "Baby Names on the Brain".

I really like the name Primrose for a girl. I think Either nn Prim or Rose/Rosie is cute.

There is a name blog I read: Appellation Mountain (<-Click for more info) that recently talked about the name Primrose. Thought you might be interested in reading :D

I like it as a middle name, but I don't think I'd ever use it as a first name.

I really like it. As with a good number of names that I love, it reminds me of a character in this book series that I've read. Primrose is the name of the younger sister in the Hunger Games Trilogy. Her nickname is Prim, but I agree with Katie - either that or Rose/Rosie would be cute. I have it on my list in the middle name slot for Evelyn, but I think it would be darling as a first name too. :D

Thanks for the site, I will be sure to read alot more if it!

I have to say, Primrose is growing more on me, I like that it is not a very popular name but still well known, and there is plenty of nn that can be used. My name (Ruth) doesn't really give way to much in the way of nn's, I am a bit too old to be called Ruthie anymore, accept by my close friends and fam, but otherwise I get called things like Rufus (not very flattering) or Strewth.

I think nn's for Primrose could be Rose, Rosie, Prim, Remmy, Primmy, Prose

i have never heard of The Hunger Games BTW :)

I love these nicknames! Really any of them would work. So adorable! :D

They're pretty good books. I really like speculative fiction, especially dystopian fiction (such as The Giver, 1984, The Time Machine, etc). Anyways, I definitely suggest it. http://en.wikipedia....he_Hunger_Games
