How would you pronounce this name? Is there a set way?
I know that the common/usual pronunciation is Hell-en-uh. Like Helena Bonham Carter. That's how I say her name.
Then, I like the combo Jordyn Helena, but I then say it "Hell-ay-nuh"
Does it matter or not?
Thanks
Pronunciation of Helena?

I believe it's pronounced "Hell-ay-nuh" I think it sounds better that way anyways, but I hear people say it as "Hell-en-uh" as well, which I think is the duller version of the name..

I have Ember Hélèna on my list and I use the accent marks to show that it's the French pronounciation, "Hell-ay-nuh." I think it sounds a lot better than the other pronounciation imo. I agree with Arose, that the "Helen-uh" pronounciation does seem a little dull

My favorite pronunciation is the "hell-en-uh" pronunciation, if only just because any other pronunciation doesn't roll off my tongue quite right. I don't think it matters how you pronounce it; either pronunciation is correct, and "hell-ee-nuh" is another pronunciation.
