Okay, so in deciding how many kids I want, I've been trying to figure out which name combo's sound best together for a family

So, I grouped up some of my names to select all the possibilities of sib sets in the future! What I would like is some critique on how the names sound together :D I'm open to all forms of comments, suggestions, etc (as long as it's not rude, lol! Though I thankfully don't seem to get that myself, too often <3).

Okay, here are the different groups I've got,

All girls
Katherine Shiloh, Emma Lark and Juniper Charlotte
or
Katherine Shiloh, Molly Kaylin and Juniper Charlotte
or
Katherine Ivy, Molly Briar and Emma Lark

Two Girls and a Boy
Katherine Saoirse, Molly Roisin and Liam Alexander
or
Katherine Elisabeth, Emma Hadley and Liam Alexander
or
Emma Katherine, Juniper Charlotte and Liam Alexander

A Girl and Two Boys
Katherine Elisabeth, Liam Alexander and Chase Lionel
or
Katherine Juniper, Liam Mathias and Chase Nikolai

All Boys
Liam Alexander, Chase Matthew and Caleb Elias
or
Liam Alexander, Chase Elias and Levi Henry
or
Liam Alexander, Chase Henry and Connor Levi

What do you think? So far, I only have three's planned out. I don't think I could mentally or physically afford more than that, personally!

Again, I'm open to any suggestions and what have you. I just can't decide which ones sound best together!

Ideally, I think I want two boys and a girl (maaybe two girls and a boy), but I'll have to see what my future beholds! ;)

Thanks for all input! ~Haddie

Good idea, I'll try this later.

All girls
Katherine Shiloh, Emma Lark and Juniper Charlotte
or
Katherine Shiloh, Molly Kaylin and Juniper Charlotte
or
Katherine Ivy, Molly Briar and Emma Lark

The third set is my favorite, and I do think it goes the best together. The middle names especially flow well -- all short nature names! The first names are all fairly classic, well-known names. Juniper really stands out as a first name, and even though I love Katherine and Juniper together, I really think that Emma and Molly look a bit weird when paired with Katherine and Juniper. As far as middle names, Kaylin really, really stands out. It has a very trendeigh feel to me (and that is sad, one of my best friends' names is Kaelyn). I have to admit I'm not a Charlotte fan, though I do think it goes well with Juniper. I LOVE Juniper. June is a gorgeous nickname. :D It seems like you really mix a lot of styles, from semi-trendy (Kaylin), to popular-right-now names (Emma & Charlotte), to unusual/uncommon (Lark, Juniper, Shiloh, Briar), underused classics (Katherine, Ivy, & Molly). Those are just my impressions of the names, they aren't necesarily correct or anything.

What I would use (based on your favorite names from your signature, with a few changes):

Katherine Lyra "Kate/Katie/Kat", Juniper Faye "June/Juno/Junie" and Arabella "Ari" Celeste.

I really liked the whole nature themed middle name of the third set. I know it is corny :insert embarassed emoticon:, but if it isn't too obvious I really think it can have a nice result. Lyra, Faye, and Celeste all have some celestial connotation, but it isn't terribly obvious. Katherine, Juniper, and Arabella are all semi-lengthy names with lovely nicknames. They have very different sounds, though. ;)

Two Girls and a Boy
Katherine Saoirse, Molly Roisin and Liam Alexander
or
Katherine Elisabeth, Emma Hadley and Liam Alexander
or
Emma Katherine, Juniper Charlotte and Liam Alexander

Since Liam is obviously your fave boy name, I'd have to say that it goes best with Molly. Both are short and sweet. I have to admit that William Alec is on my list, and I definitely prefer it to Liam Alexander. For this one, I think that Molly Roisin is my favorite name,

My battery is low, so I'll continue this later.

Hehehe :)

Oooh, I like those combinations! Katherine Lyra, Juniper Faye and Arabella Celeste are all beautiful, and they do seem to match perfectly well ;) Katie/Kate, JuneBug/Juno and Aerie would be adorable sib sets!

I'm thinking Liam is my favorite, though Chase is a super close second! :)

Mmm, I do like how Molly and Liam sound together ;) Though I honestly love how Emma and Liam and Kate/Katie and Liam sound together, also!

I didn't think about Chase Lionel having "Chase Lion" in it, lol! But now that its in my mind... it's stuck. x.x I'm thinking Chase Nikolai flows better anyways, though :)

Thanks so much for the input! :D It definitely helped.... no more Chase Lionel definitely.... and three new sibsets! :D

I didn't expect you to reply so quickly so I'll make a new reply to finish what I started lol.

Two Girls and a Boy
Katherine Saoirse, Molly Roisin and Liam Alexander
or
Katherine Elisabeth, Emma Hadley and Liam Alexander
or
Emma Katherine, Juniper Charlotte and Liam Alexander

Suggestions:

Since Liam is obviously your fave boy name, I'd have to say that it goes best with Molly. Both are short and sweet. I have to admit that William Alec is on my list, and I definitely prefer it to Liam Alexander. For this one, I think that Molly Roisin is my favorite name,

ADDED: Here is where I'm starting the second part of my reply... sorry if this is confusing!

I think Hadley is like Kaylin, it really sticks out int the middle name group. I have nothing against Hadley; in fact, it is on my GP list because I love it's meaning. I just don't think it meshes at all with Katherine, Charlotte, Elisabeth, and Alexander. I do LOVE LOVE LOVE Roisin and Saoirse as middle names together. I really don't think Liam and Katherine go together at all, though I think it fits nicely with Molly. Oddly enough, I think Molly fits well with Katherine, too. Here are some suggestions:

Alice, Molly, and Liam go the best as first names.
Katherine, Olivia, and Gabriel are another nice set.

Katherine Saorise, Molly Roisin, and Liam Connor all have a nice semi-irish feel to them. I'm half Irish and I love it. ;)
Alice Juniper, Molly Rosalie, and Ethan Lionel sound nice. Rosalie and Alice may be too much Twilight, but I think as long as at least one is a middle it'll be fine.

What I would do using only your names (except I'll tweak Amelie's last letter) :
Katherine Lyra "Kat", Amelia Roisin "Mia", Benjamin Miles "Ben"

A Girl and Two Boys
Katherine Elisabeth, Liam Alexander and Chase Lionel
or
Katherine Juniper, Liam Mathias and Chase Nikolai

Suggestions:

Out of the two Chase names, I definitely prefer Chase Nikolai, though I readily admit I really dislike verb names. Especially as first names. Chase Lionel has a verb and a noun right next to each other, and I immediately get a picture of someone chasing a lion. Not a bad thing, I'm just sooo finicky about names where both the fn and the mn are verbs or nouns.

Added: Just so you know, I think Chase Hunter is worse than Chase Lionel in the verb/noun respect. Chase hunter?
From your boy names, I do think Katherine goes the best with Benjamin, William, and Christopher. Long, respectable, nicknamable, and classic names. I'm not fond of Katherine Elisabeth or Katherine Juniper because I fell that a long name really need a medium or short middle name and vice versa. That is a purely aesthetic, purely personal preference. Lol, I got all alliterative again. :D I think Liam goes the best with Connor (both feel kind Irish) or with Cole (really short nicknameless names). I think Chase goes the best with Levi as a brother (both are similar in style and the problem I have with noun/verb mixing doesn't really apply with sibling names). Liam Mathias feels to 'm' heavy, and I prefer Matthias. I do really, really like Matthias and Nikolai as middles in a sibset. They go together perfectly.

Katherine Paige "Kate/Katie/Kat", Matthias Cole "Matt/Matty", Nikolai Bennett "Nik/Nick/Nicky" - All the middle names are short and kinda lastnamey. Lots of nns.
Katherine Noelle "Kate/Katie/Kat", Christopher Liam "Chris", Benjamin Silas "Ben" - Semi-short 2 syllables middles, very traditional long fns.

All Boys
Liam Alexander, Chase Matthew and Caleb Elias
or
Liam Alexander, Chase Elias and Levi Henry
or
Liam Alexander, Chase Henry and Connor Levi

Suggestions:

I wouldn't put Chase and Caleb or Chase and Connor in a sibset. Liam really stands out if you do. In this sibset, Alexander and Levi stick out as middle names. Alexander is sooo long compared with the others and Levi is wayyy trendier than Elias, Henry, Alexander, and Matthew. Notice I said trendy, not popular. If we are talking popularity, then Elias sticks out. Out of the names above, I like: Connor, Henry, and Matthew.

Liam Alexander, Ethan Christopher, and Caleb Nathaniel
Liam Benjamin, Connor Gregory, and Aiden Matthias - I'm not an Aiden fan, but completes the fn Irish with longish mn theme thingy.

I would use: William Gabriel, Benjamin Miles, and Matthew Gideon from your list.

All girls
Katherine Shiloh, Emma Lark and Juniper Charlotte
or
Katherine Shiloh, Molly Kaylin and Juniper Charlotte
or
Katherine Ivy, Molly Briar and Emma Lark

I really love how Katherine, Emma & Molly sound together as a sibling set. This would be my choice.
Katherine Shiloh, Emma Kaylin & Molly Briar are what I would use for middle names. The only thing that might annoy me a little would be having Katherine & Kaylin. (I have a weird issue with the same initial being used twice in a set of sibling names but its probably just me! lol) But ones a middle name so maybe it would be fine. Also, Molly Charlotte sounds adorable. That would be my 2nd choice for Molly.

Two Girls and a Boy
Katherine Saoirse, Molly Roisin and Liam Alexander
or
Katherine Elisabeth, Emma Hadley and Liam Alexander
or
Emma Katherine, Juniper Charlotte and Liam Alexander

The 1st choice.
I love the middle names and Katherine, Molly & Liam go great together!

A Girl and Two Boys
Katherine Elisabeth, Liam Alexander and Chase Lionel

I like all these names except for Lionel. Chase Henry would be cute. Or Chase Levi.

All Boys
Liam Alexander, Chase Henry and Connor Levi

I simply adore it! These names sounds great together.
The only thing would be 2 kids names start with a C and then the other boy might feel left out if he's with an L?
Idk. I could be wrong!

Hope I helped!

I do love William, with the nick name Liam, but my best friend got it stuck in my head that he might be called Billy, the name of a creeper man I know D: I'd love to use William Alexander, or maybe even William Cole. But again, the thought of Billy scares me :)

I really like this as a sibset too! : Katherine Saorise, Molly Roisin, and Liam Connor

That's what I've been thinking about, in concern to Matthias and Nikolai, I love how they sound together! :D

I do like these sibsets: Liam Alexander, Ethan Christopher, and Caleb Nathaniel or Liam Benjamin, Connor Gregory, and Aiden Matthias, though I'm not quite sure about Aiden Matthias or Ethan Christopher yet. Aiden Matthias I can see myself using, even though it's so close to me [Hayden]. And it's kinda super popular D: I do like a lot of the Irish themes, though I don't think I'd plan it as a theme :D Ethan Christopher is nice, but I'm not sure if its a loooooved name :)

I think the Katherine/Kaylin thing would bother me more if they were both first names, but with one as a mn and one as a fn, I don't think I mind.

Hehe, I do love Molly Charlotte :D I just placed Charlotte with another name so didn't think to use it with Molly!

I love Chase Henry! <3

I did think of that, but I don't worry to much of a kid feeling left out because of a first letter thing  To be honest, I've always thought that was an over thought thing. Especially when the oldest is the one with it's own letter, being their older and should be mature enough to not care about it. And I doubt there would be teasing. Plus, most kids don't seem to care if their name matches, I think the only thing they truly may care about it how their mommy chose out a name especially for them :)

Thanks so much, y'all! All of the input was helpful! ;)

Billy scares me too. However, I don't know any I don't know any Williams nicknamed Bill/Billy/Willy etc., and I'd be willing to bet that with Liam riding a wave of popularity as a given name, it and Will are going to be the nicknames of choice for William for a while. I like Will and Liam as nicknames, and I don't think Bill/Billy/Willy are nearly as likely.

I don't think their will be teasing or anything about two+ kids' names starting with the same letter. I just think it can mess with the quality of a sibset. That is entirely the baby name nerd/obsessive/control freak in me. It isn't a bad thing, I just feel that when I have kids, I want all their names to at least be tolerable together, but I want to avoid overt matchiness. Of course, that whole concept gets blown out of the water when you look at my favorite girl first names, almost all of which END with the same letter. I'm just suggesting what I think would go best together.

This is super hard but here are the results...

3 Girls -- Katherine Ivy, Molly Briar & Emma Lark ( I really like Juniper too )
2 Girls -- Katherine Saoirse, Molly Roisin, & Liam Alexander
1 Girl -- Katherine Juniper, Liam Mathias Chase Nikolai
0 Girls -- Liam Alexander, Chase Henry, Connor Levi (though I think Caleb Elias is adorable also)
(Liam & Levi are a bit close for sibs)

Mmm, I guess it isn't, but the thought still comes to mind :) I guess I get paranoid with names, sometimes, haha! I think when the time comes for me to have a baby boy, my hubby will help me decide whether to use William or Liam (especially being he has no choice but that! :D Jk lol!!)

Hehehe, in their minds, they wont care or probably notice. But it's definitely true that I will! ;) Which is generally why I made the topic, because I wasn't sure which ones make a better sib set! But, my reasoning behind choosing their names wont be because they might feel left out from the other siblings, it will moreso be because I think the name doesn't match! :)

And thanks so much Katie! :)

And I hadn't noticed how close Levi and Liam are :D If I used William Alexander and Connor Levi, would the Levi and Liam still be too close even if calling William by "Liam"? I was having a similar issue earlier, being I loooove Leo/Leonard/Leonardo/etc, but I figured it might be too close to Liam, with the Liam and Leo names D:

If you are using Levi as a middle name I don't think it will be a problem unless you also plan on calling him Levi. I just think as names that you use everyday, Levi & Liam would be a bit tongue twisting and very similar since they are both two syllables and start with the LEE sound.

Oh, okay :D I'd call Connor by his name, anyways lol!

Do you think Leonard/Leonardo would be too close? I do love Connor Leonard(o) but assumed it wouldn't work being so close to Liam, even if it's just a middle name

Katherine Ivy, Molly Briar and Emma Lark

^^ I like this one the best because all the first names are classic names and the middle names follow a slightly quirky nature theme. The flow of Molly Briar is slightly off in my opinion. Perhaps you could use Molly Juniper?

Katherine Elisabeth, Emma Hadley and Liam Alexander

^^This one just works best together, in my opinion. Though I liked the Irish middle names, something seemed off about the set...

Katherine Elisabeth, Liam Alexander and Chase Lionel

^^I just felt like there was something off about Juniper and Nikolai, even as middle names. This one works a bit better

Liam Alexander, Chase Henry and Connor Levi

^^Best first name combos. I'm not a huge fan of Levi or Henry as the middle names though

Great idea

For all Girls my favourite sibset is:

Katherine Ivy, Molly Briar and Emma Lark

Ivy sounds great with Katherine as it is a longer name, Molly Briar is just gorgeous and I love Emma. How about Emma Charlotte or Emma Shiloh?

My favourite for two Girls and a Boy is:

Katherine Elisabeth, Emma Hadley and Liam Alexander

How about Emma Shiloh?

My favorite for a Girl and two Boys:

Katherine Juniper, Liam Mathias and Chase Nikolai

I prefer Katherine Ivy or Katherine Shiloh, and both boys names are adorable and in my opinion flow nicely.

For all boys its a very hard decision so I wont pick a favorite because I love em all, Liam Alexander is lovely. I like the name Chase Matthew best and I love Caleb Levi or Levi Caleb. I adore Connor Levi and Levi Henry's pretty cute to. I know im not much help at all because I love your list.

Oooh, thank you Rose!!! :) Molly Juniper would be like, perfect! Katherine Ivy, Emma Lark and Molly Juniper :D

Emma Charlotte is beautiful, I must say. Not a fav though (; Plus, Emma Shiloh has been on my list for a while, actually! Still love it, I just also love Emma Lark :P

Something is a bit off about the Irish middle names... I think it's cause Alexander is not quite Irish, so it makes it a bit odd :L

Katherine Ivy/Shiloh would also sound nice there with Liam Mathias and Chase Nikolai! I'm absolutely adoring how Nikolai and Mathias sound together at the moment! :P

Hehe, that's okay! ;) I'm glad you like my list, Paige! :P

Maybe I can do... Liam Alexander, Chase Nikolai and Connor/Caleb Mathias? WDYT?

Thanks so much, Paige and Rose! Y'all helped a lot! :P:D:D

I love helping you Hay Tay! :D

Here's what I think:

All girls
Katherine Shiloh, Emma Lark and Juniper Charlotte ~ This works nicely.

Katherine Shiloh, Molly Kaylin and Juniper Charlotte ~ I don't really like Juniper with your other girl names. That seems like a name that would go well with two other boys. I don't like Kaylin at all, sorry :)

Katherine Ivy, Molly Briar and Emma Lark ~ I think these names go really great together. The middle names tie them together. The only name I am not a fan of because I don't think it fits as well with the other names if Molly. I love Briar though.

Two Girls and a Boy
Katherine Saoirse, Molly Roisin and Liam Alexander ~ I'm not a fan of Saoirse or Roisin. Liam Alexander is awesome for them all though!

Katherine Elisabeth, Emma Hadley and Liam Alexander ~ My favorite! Everything flows incredibly!

Emma Katherine, Juniper Charlotte and Liam Alexander ~ This one is okay, but I much prefer Emma Hadley

A Girl and Two Boys
Katherine Elisabeth, Liam Alexander and Chase Lionel~ I really like this one too.

Katherine Juniper, Liam Mathias and Chase Nikolai ~ this one is nice

All Boys
Liam Alexander, Chase Matthew and Caleb Elias ~ Love Liam Alexander and Caleb Elias. Chase Matthew sounds okay, but all I can think of is Chase Matthews off of Zoey 101! :P

Liam Alexander, Chase Elias and Levi Henry ~ My favorite of the three boys

Liam Alexander, Chase Henry and Connor Levi ~ Not a fan of Connor :/

I hope this helps! :P

Hehe, and I love getting help from you, Alyssa! :) <3

Juniper does seem to stick out with a lot of the girls names, or all the names really :L

Hmmm, do you have a suggestion of what might fit instead of Molly? I always thought Katie, Molly and Emma just fitted, though :0 But, that's because I saw a movie with sisters Katie and Molly, and always liked Emma and Katie together. Though, Emma and Molly are kinda... meh.

I am falling in love with Briar right now, though :P

I've been falling in love with the Irish sounding names :P I've been hearing about how thats supposedly a trend right now, but I still do love it XD

Woot! I am thinking that might be my final pick :P Katherine Elisabeth, Emma Hadley and Liam Alexander. I'm still questioning Emma Hadley, but I do love it <3

Two Girls and a Boy
Katherine Saoirse, Molly Roisin and Liam Alexander ~ I'm not a fan of Saoirse or Roisin. Liam Alexander is awesome for them all though!

I'm thinking my final pick for a girl and two boys would be Katherine Elisabeth, Liam Alexander and Chase Nikolai! I adore Chase Nikolai at the moment, I dunno, it feels like it has a strong masculine feel yet handsome and whatnot ;)

Hehe, I don't watch TV :P I've heard of Zoey 101, but have no idea who Chase Matthews is lol! I'm thinking my three boys combo's will be Liam Alexander, Chase Nikolai and a bit undecided for the last one still :P I love Levi, though its too close to Liam. So it's a fight for Connor or Caleb :P

Thankie so much!! :D
