I like Christopher but we already have one in the family and it's not my favorite.

I think you can name him anything you want and call him Kit without having it in the actual name. I know lots of people who have nicknames that don't correspond to their first name at all. If it's really important to you to have Kit related to the first name I would just go with a K name.
