Hello! I haven't posted a list update in a while, and this still isn't one lol. My list is so far from completion, there are slashes and question marks all over it! I would love some opinions on these names and combos though, and any suggestions if you have any. Thank you!

Mamie - A very cute but distinguished name (at least IMO) that hasn't appeared in the top 1000 (I believe) since 1912. I like its cute yet grown up feel, but I wanted opinions in how you think it would fit in, and any suggestions for middles? (I'm in the UK if that helps lol)

Cecily Maeve - A new combo I'm trying out. Cecily would honour my aunt whose middle names is Cecilia, and Mae kind of honours my grandmas; both Margaret! What are your thoughts on this as a whole? Separately?

Alodie - I found this on one of the name apps that I have; apparently it's Anglo-Saxon and means rich. I think it's a cute alternative to Elodie (which I don't particularly like), but my worry is that it sounds made up. Thoughts? I currently have it as a middle for Eve and Grace; Eve/Grace Alodie. Opinions on these combinations?

Brogan - I love this name, so handsome! Graeme likes it too, yay :-) Opinions on Brogan? Any middle suggestions?

Calder - Another approved name! Does this go as a brother to Brogan? Brogan and Calder? Opinions? Suggestions?

Hector Leo - This has been my favourite for a few weeks now, I just love Hector's old-fashioned but still trendy style, at least IMO. What are your opinions on this name? Can you picture a baby named Hector?

Thanks in advance wonderful people :-)

(I am on my iPad, so I apologise for any spelling mistakes or autocorrects that look weird. I do my best to correct them but sometimes they slip through! Lol)

Mamie - I really can't see this as a name because of so many people who use it as a substitute for "grandma" and also I can see her getting called Maim for short which is just really not a name.

Cecily Maeve - I don't like Cecily, I much prefer Cecilia, but I LOVE Maeve. Overall it's not a bad combo.

Alodie - It's pretty, but I prefer Elodie. Bonus is that you could nn her Allie. I like it :) I actually just happened upon it the other day, haha

Brogan - I like it, but prefer Logan. I know it's a real name, but I sounds made up with the "bro" trend going around. Nice sound, though!

Calder - Love this! A lot! So handsome!!

Hector Leo - I am not a fan. I can't really picture a baby named Hector.

I hope I wasn't too negative!!!

Mamie - I really can't see this as a name because of so many people who use it as a substitute for "grandma" and also I can see her getting called Maim for short which is just really not a name. - Do you have any suggestions for full names for Mamie? I've also never heard anyone call their grandma, Mamie lol, unless you're pronouncing it differently? I'll probably keep this as a nn or GP, but I love it so much :3

Cecily Maeve - I don't like Cecily, I much prefer Cecilia, but I LOVE Maeve. Overall it's not a bad combo. - Cecilia is my aunts middle name lol, and I prefer Cecily over that :-P I'm glad you like Maeve lol. Maybe Maeve Cecily/Cecilia?

Alodie - It's pretty, but I prefer Elodie. Bonus is that you could nn her Allie. I like it :) I actually just happened upon it the other day, haha - How weird! I love that she could be called Ally, although it may not go too well with a sister Eloise nn Ellie, which is probably what I'd call a girl right now if I had one. How does Alodie flow as a middle for Grace?

Brogan - I like it, but prefer Logan. I know it's a real name, but I sounds made up with the "bro" trend going around. Nice sound, though! - I actually don't like Logan, although the sounds are almost the same. Brogan is also Anglo-Saxon (according to my app lol), although I would guess that some people thought they created it when they named their son that. Any middle suggestions for Brogan?

Calder - Love this! A lot! So handsome!! - Yay, me too! Does it work as a sibling for Brogan? Any middle suggestions?

Hector Leo - I am not a fan. I can't really picture a baby named Hector. - That's what I'm worried about. I did read a book not too long ago with twin boys named Hector and Alfie in it <3 I thought the name was adorable!

I hope I wasn't too negative!!! - Not at all. Thank you for your opinions, they were very helpful :-)

I LOVE the name Mamie! I was just discussing this name with DH the other night. I have always heard the pronounciation with a long "a" MAYme. I've not heard this as a nn for a grandmother. I have heard it with a short "a" Mammy for a nn of a grandmother. Regardless, I love this old name and hope to see it make a comeback.

Cecily Maeve - A new combo I'm trying out. Cecily would honour my aunt whose middle names is Cecilia, and Mae kind of honours my grandmas; both Margaret! What are your thoughts on this as a whole? Separately?

I really like the name Cecily. Maeve is really not my style. I think Cecily Mae would be beautiful.

Sorry, not a fan of Alodie.

Brogan Isaiah
Brogan James
Brogan Keifer
Brogan Lucas
Brogan Mitchell
Brogan Oliver
Brogan Philip
Brogan Samuel
Brogan Theodore
Brogan Vincent
Brogan Wiley
Brogan Zachary

Calder - Another approved name! Does this go as a brother to Brogan? Brogan and Calder? Opinions? Suggestions?

Yes, I think Brogan and Calder work well as brothers. I like Calder.

Calder Anthony
Calder Brooks
Calder Dominic
Calder Elliott
Calder Griffin
Calder Harrison
Calder Josiah
Calder Linden
Calder Matthew
Calder Nicolas
Calder Orion
Calder Peyton

Hector Leo - This has been my favourite for a few weeks now, I just love Hector's old-fashioned but still trendy style, at least IMO. What are your opinions on this name? Can you picture a baby named Hector?

Sorry, not a fan of Hector. Leo is nice though.

I think Mamie is adorable. If you're hesitant to use it as a first name alone, it could be a nickname for Margaret, Miriam, Maren, Or Mary. Here are a few middle name suggestions for Mamie alone:

Mamie Isabelle
Mamie Scarlett
Mamie Gwendolyn
Mamie Adelaide
Mamie Victoria
Mamie Charlotte
Mamie Imogen
Mamie Josephine
Mamie Eloise
Mamie Clementine
Mamie Beatrice
Mamie Juliet
Mamie Alice
Mamie Cordelia

I think Cecily Maeve is gorgeous! Both names are lovely, and I like that they honor your family too.

Hmm... I think Alodie sounds made up. I much prefer Elodie. Of the two combos you listed, I prefer Grace Alodie. Some alternatives to Alodie: Eloise, Adele, Adelie, Annalie, Melody, Addison, Adelaide, Adeline, etc.

Brogan isn't really my style, but it's handsome. Middle name suggestions:

Brogan Alexander
Brogan Thomas
Brogan Lucas
Brogan William
Brogan Samuel
Brogan Leopold
Brogan Atticus
Brogan August
Brogan Henry
Brogan Charles
Brogan Silas
Brogan Milo
Brogan Patrick
Brogan Philip
Brogan Avery
Brogan Oliver
Brogan Isaiah
Brogan James
Brogan Kyle
Brogan Felix

Calder is handsome as well. I think Brogan and Calder make a nice sibset.

Calder Noah
Calder Ethan
Calder Emmett
Calder Henry
Calder Aaron
Calder Wesley
Calder Graham
Calder Micah
Calder Anthony
Calder Frederick
Calder John
Calder Elijah
Calder Matthew
Calder Philip
Calder Zachary
Calder Ian
Calder Shane
Calder Joshua

I must agree that I'm not fond of Hector myself. Leo is handsome though.

Thank you Kristi and Meghan.

Kristi, I'm glad that someone else shares my love of Mamie! Cecily Mae is pretty, but I prefer the look of Cecily Maeve. I didn't think Alodie would be that popular lol, and it's probably just going to be a GP for now. From you suggestions I like:
Brogan James
Brogan Oliver
Brogan Samuel
Brogan Wiley
Calder Matthew
Calder William

Meghan, another Mamie lover! Miriam nn Mamie is cute, I'm not a fan of Maren or Mary, and Margaret is the name of my two biological grandmothers, plus my middle name lol. From your suggestions I like:
Mamie Charlotte
Mamie Josephine
Mamie Eloise
Mamie Juliet
Eloise
Annalie
Brogan Samuel
Brogan August
Brogan Milo
Brogan Oliver
Brogan James
Calder Wesley
Calder Graeme
Calder Matthew

Thanks so much for the opinions. I'm going to mull things over and come back with some more in a few days.

Hmm, I'm not a fan of Mamie. I feel like it'd fit in better in the UK then USA though, cause you guys have more of a "nick name name" trend going on? Or names ending in eee sound trend, between Lily, Alfie, etc. Mamie would fit right in there <3

Cecily Maeve - way to beautiful, I love it <333 I adore Maeve, wish I could use it. Cecily is really pretty, a name I'd adore to see on another persons child even though I'm not sure if I'd use it myself. The combo flows well and I just love it <3

Alodie - I mean, I prefer Elodie. But I can defs see the appeal of Alodie! I think Grace Alodie would flow the best, though I prefer Eve to Grace in general <3

Brogan - Upon first sight I didn't care for it, but I do like it. Its like Brody and Logan put together (which are both names I like). I imagine it'd fit in very well with kiddo's these days! Brogan Jeremiah, Brogan Zachary, Brogan Nathaniel, Brogan Matthias, Brogan Eli? Oh!! I love Brogan Eli!!! Idk why but they seem so perfect together!! Haha don't mind me, all excited here!

Calder - omg someone else who likes Calder! No one else seems to like it. I love it <3 Brogan and Calder go perfect IMO!

Hector Leo - I think Brogan and Hector go perfect! Calder and Hector both end in -r so it'd bother me personally, but its no biggie. Brogan, Calder, and Hector are cute :) I don't love Hector though, can't lie. Nothing particular about it, just NMS. I think Hector can defs be used, a child and a grown man could go by Hector. Would be unique though familiar, you know? Like everyone knows of the name Hector, yet he'd not have a schoolyard of friends named Hector <3

Hope this helps!

Thanks Remy! Mamie would definitely fit in with the trend here, my cousin just had a baby named Evie, so I know that the trend is growing lol. Grace Alodie would be my pick as well. We wouldn't be able to use Eve because that's the name of a game that Graeme plays :-( So sad, but I can still keep it on my list. Brogan definitely fits in, it feels surnamey and goes with a lot of the Aden names; Brogan and Caden etc. I heard someone prn Calder like Call-der this morning, but I prn it cal-der, it's very handsome isn't it? Archer and Calder would be cute siblings ;-)
I like Brogan Matthias and Brogan Eli from your suggestions.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Currently I'm leaning towards Miriam Eloise/Luna nn Mamie, Brogan James or Brogan Oliver James nn Bo, and Calder Graeme Keith or Calder Hugo nn Cal.

Also, out of these names which do you think would make a good sibset? We're probably going to have three at the most.
