Agnes

So, my husband has been pestering me about this name ALL day.

He truly loves it and thinks it sounds spunky.

I have to admit that it is growing on me.

Thoughts?

It definitely sounds spunky considering what names are becoming popular after being left in the dark for so long and while it sounds dated I wouldn't say it extremely so, but for me the problem is that I personally think on an old English lady that runs a pub with wild gray hair, missing yellow teeth and crazy eyes. I honestly have no idea why that pops into my head but it does, Agnes itself is nice but I could never use it with that being the image that pops into my head.

Honestly... I love it!

I love old fashioned names, Agnes included <3

I think it'd work perfect, really! Unfortunately, my boyfriends not a fan. So its not on the list. But its beautiful. I truly only imagine it on a young girl myself. I know its an old fashioned name, but I see it as a younger name. Now, I only see Susan and Bob as the "dated" "old people" names :P

We LOVE it. We're uncertain on if it goes well with Hayes.

If so, Agnes Penelope? Agnes Elizabeth?

So many choices!

Agnes Elizabeth and Agnes Penelope are really pretty. Hayes sounds older and Montgomery definitely sounds older so Agnes does fit with it. Maybe not perfectly but it does fit, especially with Penelope :)

(Edited) Whoops! :P

Agnes Elizabeth Hayes is very pretty! Agnes Penelope is pretty but I don't think the flow is quite right with Hayes, it's almost there but not quite. :)

Sorry for the confusion.. ha!

Hayes is our son :)

Agnes Penelope is a nice combo. I understand the appeal of Agnes, it being spunky and unique and all, but I do think it's a little clunky-sounding. If you really love it though, Hayes and Agnes make a cute sibset.

Hayes and Agnes... I don't see the problem! :) Theres nothing about them that necessarily clashes, like no sounds and all. Hayes has a long a like lake, and Agnes has a short a like animal. (random word selections there hahaha).

Agnes Penelope and Agnes Elizabeth is absolutely gorgeous! Love love love <3 I had Agnes Harriet and Agnes Katherine on my list for a while :)
