I love Madeleine (pronounced Mad-uh-LINE, like LI-on). I'm stuck on choosing a middle name. Family names are nice (Some family MNS: Elaine, Rose, Anne, Kristine/Kristina, Karen, Alexandra, Elisabeth/Erzsebet) but it doesnt have to be a family name. Please help?

PS: Do you like Madeleine Nadia? Is it weird to name your child's MN with yours/your DHs name? (If we have a boy, MN may be DHs name)

Last name is Turner, if it helps. (Does Madeleine Turner sound good overall?)

Madeleine Turner sounds great.

I personally don't like Madeleine Nadia because the N's in the two names run together, and I just don't like that personally.
And yes, it's totally cool to have your child's middle name be after the parent.

Out of your family names, I like Madeleine Elisabeth and Madeleine Rose.

Other suggestions:
Madeleine Melissa
Madeleine Lana
Madeleine Serena
Madeleine Mary
Madeleine Joyce

Madeleine Turner has a great flow.

From the mns you mentioned, my favourite is Madeleine Rose.

And I don't thinks it's weird to use your/your husband's fn as your child's mn. If you don't feel very comfortable with it, you could always use a variation of the name, or a name that has a similar meaning.

Some mn suggestions:

Madeleine Claire Turner
Madeleine Elise Turner
Madeleine Joy Turner
Madeleine Grace Turner
Madeleine Kathleen Turner
Madeleine Hope Turner - This would be my favourite because Nadia means "hope" (Nadia is a diminutive of the name Nadezhda, which means "hope" in Russian, Bulgarian and Macedonian)

I hope this helps!

I think Madeleine Turner sounds nice. However, I agree with MeganMoxie that Madeleine Nadia doesn't have the best overall flow since Madeleine ends in the N sound an Nadia starts with N. The two names tend to run together.

I really like Fez's suggestion of Madeleine Hope which is a way of honoring you since Nadia means hope. I think the overall combo Madeleine Hope Turner sounds lovely.

Good Luck!

Madeleine Rose has a very nice ring to it - we are in a similar dilemma, with our 2nd daughter to be born next week. Her big sister is Sophia Marie, and we both like Madeleine (french spelling and pronunciation Mad-eh-LINN). Leaning towards Madeleine Grace but we're not sure yet. Hope it all works out!
