Well, not so underused, some maybe even popular. I've been researching in the internet for underused, old-fashioned names that are still femenine, elegant and -why not?- have a "Princess" feeling.

For example, Names like Elizabeth & Margaret I love, but they are way too popular. I don't like names with -a ending either (ei: prefer Amelie to Amelia). Some I'm quite picky.

From the -few- that I've found, that I actually like and would consider using, I've got:

-Scarlett
-Charlotte
-Juliet
-Amelie
-Lavender
-Valerie
-Vivianne
-Evelyn
-Emmeline
-Cecile

So, as you can see, this list is so short that my heart aches. I feel like I'm never going to be able to find a name that I really like.

Now I'm pleading, can you think of any underused old fashion name?

Your input is very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Blanche aways makes me think of the show Golden Girls. I love the name, don't think I'd wanna name my daughter after a slutty old woman, though!

And, Momo - I'm having the same problem. I love all of the names on your list.. Just wish it was easier to find more.

Oh. My. God.

I was reading all your lovely ladies' input, and thinking to myself: "these are really good! I'm going to rewrite the list"

And then, I came across the name Rosabel.

And, literally, my heart ached.

I'm in love!

God, I'm so moved I can't even comment on the other names.

*got to calm down first.*

Scarlett
Charlotte
Lavender

Harriet
Daphne
Penelope
Rosalie/Rosaline/Rosalind

I'm not going to write another long list, because I think Yazzie, Rose and Tessa have covered it pretty much all.

But I just thought of a name that hasn't been mentioned, and it might fit in your style?

Marise

I don't know, just throwing it out there.
Good luck deysi!

How do you say that name Marise? What does it mean? :)

It is a french version/diminutive of Marie. So it's got the same meaning {Wished for child} and it's pronounced in the same way, just add an S at the end! (:
