So my top middle name hit a snag. Would it be okay to use Summer as a middle name for a child born in October or February or any month not thought of as summer since it's an honoring name?
Would other seasonal names work better in place for a child born at another time?

Since it's an honoring name and a middle name too I would use it any time of the year. Unless you wanted to acknowledged the time of year the child was born in their name I don't see the need to replace another name with Summer

Thanks Elizabeth. I wasn't sure if if would be odd. I really want to honor my cousin and my boyfriend took her middle name, which I adore, completely out of the question for being an ex's name.

I don't think it's weird at all. It's just like if a girl is named May, April, June, etc. They don't necessarily have to be born in that month. Plus, you're using Summer as a middle name, so it's even less of an issue, in my opinion. I think Kristen Summer is a beautiful combo for a girl born any time of the year

Thanks Meghan! I really like Delilah Autumn but if I had a second daughter but then I think I'd have a theme started.

Well I know an April who was born in October. I honestly don't think it is that big of a deal, you don't usually go around telling people your birthday when you are introduced. And I've never heard of anyone worrying about naming their son Leo if he wasn't born between July 22nd and Aug 22nd. And personally I think it would be a nice idea to name a daughter Summer even is she is born in the middle of winter, especially if Summer is your favorite time of year. Because then you could say she brought summer to you even when it was cold outside. Kind of like that song..."when its cold out side, I've got the month of may..."

I think its fine, especially being its a honoring name and its in the middle. However, I'd recommend checking out Nameberry's blogs, as they have seasonal name blogs They have a bunch of them actually, differing from seasons, to months, to even holidays people are born that aren't blatant but still related
Oh! And I love Delilah Autumn! Darn cute <3
