We're not going to find out the sex of our second baby and I'm looking for baby girl names that flow nicely with our last name Clay. I'm very picky and don't want anything from the top 50 list. I like vintage, "old fashion" names as well as biblical names. I don't like crazy, unique spellings, names ending in -lyn, or trendy names. I'm finding it hard to pair girl names with Clay without it sounding weird or clunky. Any ideas are welcome :)

Some of the names that I like are Noelle Alexandria, Vivienne, and Cora. Any middle name ideas for Vivienne and Cora are welcome as well.

Noelle Alexandria- I've never liked Noelle for some reason but its not bad and it sounds nice with Clay. I think Noelle Alexandra Clay sounds better than Noelle Alexandria Clay but they both work.

Vivienne- This name has grown on me since I know someone with the name (she spells it Vivian). It seems to be more and more popular at least where I'm from but it's classic so you really can't go wrong with it. Vivianne Clay sounds good together.

Cora- I love this name!! Not sure about it paired with Clay though. I think I would go with a longer middle name to balance it out.

Some other name suggestions/possible middle names: Caroline, Madeline, Elizabeth, Meredith, Amelia, Beatrice, Eleanor, Claire, Clara, Louise, Audrey... Some of these might be too popular for you but they're just ones of the top of my head.

The first I thought of was Edith. Charming, vintage, and uncommon.

Edith Vivienne Clay is stunning!

Agnes, Ingrid, and Helena are also quite nice :)

I like the names you've chosen.  I will suggest Tabitha Clay.  It has the benefit of being slightly unique but recognizable.  It is also a Biblical name from the New Testament.

Since you like Alexandria (as do I) then I will suggest Anastasia Clay.  If you need a nickname then Stacia (pronounced stay-sha) is pretty.

Anastasia Noelle Clay is stunning in my opinion.

Vivienne Clay sounds great! We just gave our baby girl the elegant moniker Vivienne and she fits it so well. Such a lovely name!

I love Edith Vivienne, and Eloise is a lovely name. Sadly though my husband does not like either name.

Tabitha is very cute, but I fear it's too close to our son's name Tobias?

Tabby and Toby are much too close.  Tabitha and Tobias are not so it depends on what kind of nicknames you are choosing.

Does your husband like Elyse/Elise?  How about Ivy? Ivy Vivienne?

Might I suggest the names Anna or Sarah? They are both beautiful, classic names and will flow nicely with almost any middle name.
Anna Marie
Sarah Lillian
Anna Sophia
Sarah Rose
Anna Alexandria
Sarah Vivienne
Anna Eloise
Sarah Josephine
