So I found this name I really like for a girl. It's Killian. I really like it a lot. But it seems that when I say the name to people they either really love, or really hate it. Could you give me your opinion on it?

I like Killian Brooke, or Killian Grace. Any other ideas? It's hard to find a middle name as not everything flows well. Thanks!

Well, I don't like how the begining of the name is Kill  I think it has too much teasing potential, sorry!

Cillian is a popular Irish name for boys, which I really like. But it seems really inappropriate on a girl, sorry. Fair, it rhymes with Lillian and Jillian, but it's definitely a boy's name.

My sister went to school with a girl named Killian...not sure how she spelled it. They were on the same Softball team at one time.

When I first heard the name (back in like 1997ish), it was obviously one I'd never heard of so it was different and interesting. Though I can see it being confused with the more popular Lillian.

I work in childcare and I worked with a two year old girl named Killian, I found it ..different at first but it has a nice ring and she had a fabulous personality. We called her Killybean  I figure Killian is a beautiful name as long as dad's name isn't Ian! Gillian, Jillian, Lillian are all nice alternatives, too. However I say go with your gut. Or is it uterus?

I only see it as a boy name, and not a very good one at that. I think it's too harsh, seeing as the nickname would be Kill. It's not appropriate for a girl.

I'm sorry, I can't get past "Kill." Especially when there are much nicer (in my opinion) options that are only a letter away like Lillian, Jillian, or Gillian. I do find Killian more masculine than feminine, too. :|

Thanks for all the input. I still like if for a girl more though. Would it look nicer if spelled Cillian? Would it get rid of the "Kill" part??
