Hey guys. I've been a ghost on here lately. I used to be on here a lot a few years ago, but I stopped when I started Nursing school. So there are some familiar faces/names, but most of you are new to me. But I just graduated!! So I can start thinking about my lists again lol. Problem is, I feel like I need to start from scratch because none of my names give me the same feeling anymore. I have such a long list of names that I would consider using, but I don't feel like I can picture myself using any of them in particular. Either my names are becoming too common, or they are too uncommon to use.

Anyway, sorry for rambling. Bottom line: I need to start a fresh new list, but I don't know how to keep myself from just going straight to the names that I'm usually drawn to. Help!

Should I list some of the names that I like?

Thanks everyone!!

Congrats on graduating!

What exactly is your style of names? Listing some previous names would be great!

Thank you :)

Well, my style is all over the place!

For Boys:

I like a lot of surnames, like: Porter, Edison, Cooper, Kingcaid, Tanner, Sullivan

I also like "different" names (but I don't know if I would actually use them): Basil, Caspian, Athens, Cairo, Braven, Cypress, Knightley, Titus, Romeo

Some names that I've always liked: Dominic, Donovan, Wyatt, Colton, Julian, Roman, Ares, Paris

For Girls:

Very girly, but not so common: Angelica, Ariel, Lorelai, Lola, Tatiana, Vanessa

Different/unusual: Aristella, Calais (pn Cal-LAY), Echo, Cataleya, Sarai (pn Suh-RYE), Simone, Calliope

Common and Cutesy: Belle, Sadie, Lucy, Ruby, Melody

Names I've always liked: Samantha, Sydney, Alana, Bianca, Hazel, Justice, Leia

But there are so many more names on my lists, and I don't even know which ones I love anymore. I like Greek Mythology names and Surnames for boys, but for girls, I'm everywhere.

Oh, and names I dislike:

Boys:

Super trendy: Cayden, Peyton, Grayson, Jackson, Blaine, Blaze, Bentley

Older-sounding names: Frederick, George, Bill, Bob/Robert, Brad, Phil

Some names I find unattractive; Beau, Oscar, Bart, Kurt, Finch, Lyle, Reece, Lester

Girls:

Madeup-looking names: Kimber, Kenlee, Brynleigh, Hynleigh

*Boy names* (biggest pet peeve ever!): Elliot, Noah, Wyatt (really?), Parker, Logan --- Most of these were my favorite boy names, but I feel like they're tainted now

Super trendy/popular names: Peyton, Avery, Hailey, Mackenzie, Aspen, Olivia, Isabella, Sophia

Older-sounding names: Bernadette, Henrietta, Mary, Marie, Bertha, Gertrude, Doris, Mildred

Some names I find unattractive: Olga, Ingrid, Olive, Poppy, Tallulah, Makenna, any name starting with Mac/k or ending with -son

**Basically, I don't like boy names on girls, super popular/trendy names, older-sounding names, obviously made-up or misspelled names. Oh, and nicknames as full names (i.e. Joe, Izzy, Teddy, Kitty, Bob, Cali, Emmy)

But feel free to shoot any name my way, and I will go through each one. Thank you so much!

Titus is actually growing pretty steadily in popularity, it's already at #316 in the US! I know two little boys by the name and one older gentleman, I think it is totally usable and handsome. :)

I think I like Tennyson, Theseus, Vaughn, and Levin. And I love Samson, but my name is Delilah, and that would be weird lol

From the girls, I like Cordelia, Katarina, Penelope, Piper, Ella, Charlotte, Luna, Nicola, and maybe Fable. (Actually all of these except for Fable and Nicola are on my lists)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Addison:

Thanks for the encouragement with Titus. I think I'm really liking the strength of this name.

From the boys, I love Jonah and Tobias; they are on my list. I also find Tolliver very interesting. I think I like it.

For the girls, I only like Violet and Soraya. I find it harder to like girl names. Boys are easier for me.

Thank you for the suggestions. I would love some more comments!
