So, awhile ago, I was reading the "Writer's Block" and someone was writing about a little boy who's parents didn't love him.... and wanted his name to reflect it. Ever since, I've had one of the names in my head:

Paynen Diaz

It was supposed to sound like Pain in the @$$.

I really love both of the names! But do you think I really sounds like pain in the @$$?

Thank you for your input!

It definitely sounds like "pain in the..."

What about a variation on the first name? Payton, Payson, Keenan?

Maybe not Diaz... what what do you think of Payne for a first name?

Yes, it definitely sounds like it imho. Maybe you could use both names, but not together. Like as a sibset. Or use variations?

That was my post, wasn't it? I remember doing a post on that.. and I have that story on my lap top! haha

Anyways, yeah I really think it does. Diaz is suppose to be pronounced as dee-azz, and thats how the general public says it. Like actress Cameron Diaz :) If you wanted die-azz, then you'd have to spell it differently so people know its a different name. Dyaz? Idk. Though tbh I kinda dislike how die-azz kind of sounds like "die as..", with the word die in it. I find it to be a very negative association <3 All depends on how you feel of it, but yeah. Though tbh I have always had **as a guilty pleasure** Dielyn- almost like Dylan except Die at the beginning. I haven't figured out a proper spelling.. but I just love how Die-Lan sounds! Dielan and Dielyn and Dielen all look off to me though. So idk. Its a GP of mine <3

I think Paynen could be pulled off well as a name though! It still sounds very much like "pain in" but it doesn't sound mean or anything. I can totally imagine a kid with this name personally. Idk how it'd age, but I like it. Also, in my story, I had characters calling Paynen Diaz by P.D., the initials sound adorable and like the nick name for Peter- Petie. I have been swooning over P.D. as initials lately actually. I think its cute :) Idk how I'd use it, as I don't love many P or D names... but idk. Its a thought of mine.

Also, other variations like Peyton, Payne, Peyson, Paiden, etc might work better? Just an idea! <3

Without the Diaz part it sounds like a usable and cute name :)

also on the name Dielyn, maybe Dilynn, Dylen, Dylin, or Diylen all the spellings do look kind of odd but i agree with you on that it sounds like a cute name.

Well I know about the Spanish pronunciation, though Diaz (Dy-az) will probably just be a guilty pleasure for awhile :D
