I've been working on a semi-short story lately, and I've written about 12 pages without having names for the two characters. Both of those characters - a male and female - are based off of people I know. [To be completely honest, my friend gave me a piece of gossip and I thought DANG! that's a great concept for a book.] However, I don't want to use either of their real names, but to keep the authenticity for myself, I want names that are similar to theirs.

Him:

Blonde hair, blue eyes, plays soccor, very tall and slender, intellegent but immature

Curtis D.

Her:

Focused, short black hair and deep eyes, tiny, serious

Shannon B.

Okay the more I think about it, I'll be needing a name for another female supporting character. Same concept.

Her II:

His girlfriend at the time...

Dayhan M.

___

This totally contradicts everything I just said, but there are a few names that I've thought about using just because I think they fit the characters...

Him: Tristan / Benjamin / Dustin / Logan /Sawyer

Her I: Britta

Her II: Gillian / Holly

So Him I'm thinking

Cody similar in that it starts with the same letter but I think also fits the character

Corey or Cole (But Corey reads more goofy to me and Cole as a darker description than blonde hair blue eyes

Charlie seems like it could work to me

For her 1

Shayna/Shana mostly because it's the first name I thought of similar to Shannon

then there's Sean/Shawna since Shannon is technically taken from Sean anyway

Sawyer, Valerie, and Rowan also sound like that description too me

For her 2

Dana

Deanna

I'd have looked by meaning but all these names have relatively uncommon meanings so finding a suitable character name with the same meaning is near impossible

Don't know if you need last names too but I like

Duncan

Barker

Malloy

If you like keeping the first initial the same, what about Colin or Cullen for him?

I also like Graham, Vaughn or Reese.

For her: LOVE Britta! Are you feeling like you will use it? If not, what about Shea or Riley or Erin.

For your other female, the D name seems to really fit. Maybe Devin or Dahlia or Darcy?
