Hey, guys!

So, I have a problem. I always read too much into names when I'm reading a story or a book, so I always find it very difficult to name a character. Most of the time, I'm really into the story, and then I have to name someone and I just keep staring at the computer for minutes until a moderately good one comes to my mind. So, I was hoping you could help me with one little problem.

I've been writing this somewhat long story about a woman in her early thirties, named Sarah Powell, who is completely, utterly in love with her boss, Henry Larsson. I'll try to shorten things up until the point where I'm stuck at. So, they have an affair, and while she is falling even more for him, he seems unwilling to risk his career as a famous lawyer for her. Many, many things happened, some problems came up, and she breaks up with him and moves away from San Francisco and back to her hometown, San Diego. Things didn't end pretty well between them, so Sarah is struggling to get over him, while Henry seems even more focused on work than before.

Two years later, Sarah comes back to San Francisco because of her fiancée, a doctor who is originally from Oakland and got a great job at the Bay Area. Sarah doesn't have much of a family left other than her father and a sister who lives in Phoenix, so they decide to have their wedding in San Francisco. She is still friends with several people who worked with her, but hasn't spoken to Henry ever since she moved away, so he's not that much in her thoughts anymore.

Except when her fiancée introduces her to his best man, his best friend since college, Henry Larsson.

So, the fiancée is my problem. He's not a villain or anything remotely similar to that. He loves Sarah dearly and truly wants to spend the rest of his life with her. He has no idea that his best friend is the love of his fiancée's life or the other way around. And I really have no idea about his first name. All I know is that I've changed it so many times that I'm getting tired of going over every sentence to change his name again. His surname is Malone; his sister is Lauren and his mother is Elizabeth. He's a paediatrician in his late thirties, has brown eyes and dark brown hair, is about 6'2''. He is a very calm, very intelligent person, loves children and family.

Here are some of the names I've used or thought about using:

Andrew
Elliot
Everett
Oliver
Kenneth
Joshua
Kevin
Eric
Keith
Colin

Also, here's a list of names that CAN'T be used, because this character is fairly new to the story, while the others have been there for a while:

Gregory
Christopher
Scott
David
Leo
Daniel
Benjamin
Nicholas

I really don't know which one I should use. Andrew was my first choice, then I changed it to Everett... And then I changed it to Kevin, and things got a little bit out of control. :) So, which name comes to mind when you think about someone like this guy? And which name from the list is your favorite? Please tell me what you think, anything would be really helpful. Now I'll stop talking and let you think a bit. ;) Thanks!

I like Everett. Owen sounds nice too. Good luck!
