Alethea is nms, but it's pretty and unique. It's actually refreshing seeing Alethea other than Athena (don't like it very much).

Thoughts on the name

Melina?

Melina is nice for someone else's kid. I get a supermodel/surfer-girl image in my head which is kinda cool.

VelvetRainx, I like Melina. My Aunt is good friends with a Melina who is in her 30's, but I think it works well for any age really.

My question:

I LOVE both the names Piper and Harper for little girls... just think they are really cute and sweet. I realize they are both instruments, but could they work as a sib/twin set or are they too similar sounding?
Thanks!

To be honest, they sound so close together, but only because the both in the same sound, "-per". If I had to pick, I choose Piper. Piper & Harley, Piper & Hartley, Harper & Penelope, Harper & Pippa are nice choices as well.

Are

Elizabeth & Elise too close? If so, which do you prefer & why?

I agree with Karina, it isn't just the instrument-playing association that makes them too close, it's the "-per" endings. I LOVE her suggestion of Piper and Harley!

definitely 100% too close, they're the same name. Just different forms.

I have Elizabeth (nn Ellis) on my own list, but I've always adored Elise, too. Elise feels very sharp and clean, where Elizabeth feels elegant and traditional. It really just depends on your last name and your sibset, and if you'd want to access any nicknames from Elizabeth that you couldn't get from Elise. And, you can always call Elizabeth by Elise, I had that together on my list for quite a while.

Way too close. My middle name is Elizabeth and my half sister's middle name is Elyse (Elise) and I tell her she " stole" my name all the time. I prefer Elise to Elizabeth because I find it less boring. I wouldn't use both names for sister's though. Its like brothers James and Jacob.

My Dad's name is Alan so I am very biased toward Derek Alan ;) I LOVE the name Derek also and find it very handsome and underused. The nn Ricky is a fave of mine too. <3

Cute sibset! Spunky and hipster feeling, yet not too overused (at least not where I live).

Personally, I don't like Abel nor Cleo, but it makes an amazing sibset

Austin Nathaniel & Adam Nicholas or Austin Nicholas & Adam Nathaniel? Why do you prefer it this way?

Austin Nathaniel & Adam Nicholas - The combos just flow better this way imo, the in ni sounds in Austin Nicholas are hard for me to say, and Adam Nicholas rolls off the tongue so nicely.

Do you prefer Cleo Madeleine or Cleo Josephine? Why?

I LOVE both Madeleine & Josephine, they have that elegance I love. But because I'm torn, I'm gonna have to go with the overall flow. Cleo Madeleine is best because Cleo ends in the O sound and the same O sound is in the beginning of Josephine.

Are Cecilia & Celeste too close? (Both are for middle names)

For first names, they'd be too close, but in the middle I think they're fine.

I prefer Cleo Madeleine because style-wise I feel like the two names mesh better and secondly, I just prefer Madeleine to Josephine.

I love Alice and Kimberly. Kimberly Alice is pretty, but I think Alice Kimberly flows a bit better. Nonetheless, both are gorgeous
