One of my best friends names is Haven, and I was just wondering... What are your thoughts on the name?

Before I met her, I thought it was sorta odd but now I REALLY like it! :)

I've thought of this name before but it's never really made it to my list. I think it is cute for a little girl, but I don't know how well it will age

I went to camp with a set of siblings named Haven, Harbor (b/g twins), Marina, and Quay ( boy). Their parents had a water theme going. I liked the girl names but the boys were a little odd for me.

I don't mind the name :) it's one of those names that I'd probably like if I met someone with it, but until then I can't really picture it on a person :/ Not sure why lol!

I like it, though it's a little too trendy for me. It reminds me of the name Heaven, which is pretty popular, so...

It's cute, but I would never use it. I agree with Zalivor, it reminds me so much of the Heaven/Neveah lot. Except for Haven should NOT be spelled backwards, it's Nevah! (Ill nevah use that one, hahaha)

I think it's really interesting how knowing somebody with a name totally changes our perception of a name. I know lots of people with names, these are names I would never consider but since they have them I'm like "Oh, that's so beautiful!" haha. Haven isn't something I'd ever consider but it DOES sound very pleasing to the ear (more so than Heaven, it must have to do with the long A sound) and I can see how if you knew somebody named Haven it would make you like the name.

I must agree! People totally change our perception of a name!

I've met so many people who have made me like/dislike names! For better or worse lol... I hated the name Molly until I met a girl with the name, then it was suddenly gorgeous! I also hated June, until I watched the Juno movie and all a sudden June/Juno/Juniper all seemed to have such a sweet sound! The I used to like Kristen... until I had bad experiences with one and now it makes me cringe <3

But anywho, I think it's the long A that gives it a sweet sound! :)
