Erm, you'd have to pair it with a really feminine first name for it to be okay for a girl. Lark could just go either way gender wise, so if you did something like Maria Lark or Olivia Lark, that would be okay. Don't do Ryder Lark, then you can't tell what the gender of the baby is!

I really like the name Lark but as Sam said I think it would need to be paired with a very feminine name! A alternative is Larkin! This has been a favorite on min for a while! I really like Lark but prefer Larkin!

Lark and Larkin are both unisex. Lark is my grandfather's first name and I have always wanted to use it for a mn for a boy, but it is lovely on girls as well.

I agree it would need a nice feminine name to go with it. I personally don't find it attractive, but since it's a middle name, it won't be used too much and you could get away with it. I don't like Larken or Laken, but I would even prefer these names. I like Larken and Laken on boys only, but for a middle name, you could get by with on a girl i'ms ure.

I went to high school with a girl named Larkin, so I prefer it as a girl name! I suppose it could be used for either boy or girl! Larkin is more feminine to me than Lark and would be more appropriate! I am glad that you LOVE Larkin! I am pretty fond of it myself, ever since I first heard the name! It is very becoming!

I like Lark as a first name for a boy and middle-name for a girl.

Larkin is cute only for boys, IMO

Personally, I like Wren. I know it's not exactly similar to Lark, but it seems to have the same vibe, im my opinion.
Also, I much prefer Laken to Larkin. Larkin sounds a little hillbilly-esque to me, but it may be a little bit better if spelled Larken. I think, in general, E's seem to be more feminine than I's.

Oooo Wren is cute! Any first names that could make Wren a nn? Ya, I'm over Lark & Larkin there cute but I think they are more masculine then Laken is cute too! I think it's unisex?

Laken is very cute, but I've only ever seen it on girls. I don't know about Wren...
