My youngest sister in laws name is Kelsey and I was wondering if Chelsea was too close to that? I've always loved the name Chelsea  but I don't want to use it if its too close to Kelsey.

I can see the similarity in the names, but if you LOVE it then use it. Both names are gorgeous & I don't think there would be much confusion ever between the two. You could always go by nicknames when the two girls were around each other if there ended up being some confusion. ;)

Sorry... but I do think they're a bit close. I guess that depends on how close you are with your sister-in-law / how often you see her though. I have to admit, though, Chelsea is a really cute name!

They do have similarities, but I don't think their way to close <3 Of course, what matters most is you love it ;) They would be too close for siblings, I think. But she'd be an aunt, so its not too close I don't think <3

In my opinion, they're very close. They both have the same sounds in them, and really the only bit that's different is the beginning sound; 'K' and 'Ch'. If you really love the name though, then you should use it.

I agree. It all depends on the situation. If you're not close and the ("hypothetical?") baby wouldn't see her very often, I think it would be fine to use it. But it could get a little confusing otherwise.

I dislike both Kelsey and Chelsea.. but hey.
