It fits with the ends in -en trend in boys' names without being common like Jackson or Aidan/en, but do you think a boy would be bullied for having a name that's more popular for girls (it ranked at #372 for girls in 2015, so not exactly common for them either) or is it still usable?

I probably wouldn't use it, but I totally would love to meet little boys named Aspen.  It just has a masculine vibe to me and feels more refreshing and unexpected.

I like Aspen for a boy a lot more than I like it for a girl! I tend to believe that non specific gender nature names are unisex but there are some I prefer for one gender over another and Aspen for a boy fits that category. I too would love to see a little Aspen running round.

I agree with everyone else. Aspen is handsome on a boy, and I actually see it better on a boy than a girl.

I actually prefer it on a girl, however it does make a cool boys name.
