Urgh! NO! Think about these names and do they honestly suit a adult? Can you see a lawyer been named that? A doctor? A vet? etc

People said the same thing of Aiden/Cayden/Jaden/etc as well as all the Kayleighs and Brynlees. Some of these children will wind up as a lawyer or a doctor or a vet. The name itself has nothing to do with a child's potential unless it is something offensive/humiliating or otherwise detrimental to a child's well-being. It has to do with the child, the child's environment. Bhutterfli Reignbo is detrimental, not Dayton.
Is a child named Aiden, who's parents help him with homework, have him participate in sports and make sure he's growing up well really as bad off as the child named Luke who's parents leave him to his own devices or not give him the support he needs? The name has nothing to do with it.

I've spent the past couple of days looking at baby girl's name in depth. 

What really has been sparking my interest is how lovely it sounds with the boys and how right at home it feels to say.

Coincidentally, the first baby born on New Years in our county was named this and the paper put the heading as "Hey There, _______". I couldn't help but think of how precious and soft it sounded. It may have a bad rep but what name doesn't?

Oh what I said in my above post still stands but I thought about this after I posted. If you spell it as Rise to get the Rh-eyes pronunciation but maybe you could also spell it as Ryse to get the same Rh-eyes pronunciation if you like the look of the ‘y’ being in there. It could work for a child or a book character and would get the pronunciation you want it to be.

Normally I look at the statistics to get a better idea of how popular a name is.  If a name is #243 in popularity, that doesn't really give you an idea of how popular it is.  But if that name (Fernando in 2012) was used on 0.0733% of total male births that year.  That means that there is 1 Fernando in 1,364 male births for 2012.  Not too popular in my opinion.  Really, the percentage tells you more about the name than the ranking, since male names verse female names are very different...

I love Autumn, but James really gets me on a girl. It's not feminine or pretty, it's a handsome, strong BOYS name. I just can't stand it on a girl.

Finn and Prue

 

 

2021

Finn Shine and Prue Hooker have recently gotten married and are beginning their lives as a newlywed couple. They've just moved in together and are in the process of remodeling their ancient townhouse. Prue has a cat, Muenster, whom she's had since graduating college in 2014. Finn was incredibly stressed out with his job for a portion of the year, but he was very relieved when he heard news that he'd gotten a well-deserved promotion. Both himself and Prue was exceptionally happy, as it couldn't have been timed better. Finn and Prue decided to use some of their new earnings to get away from the stress at home for a weekend. It seemed to end quickly, though it was enjoyed.

 

2022

It had been almost a year since their move and renovations were almost finished. Finn and Prue had everything they'd ever wanted in a home- a gorgeous yard, a large kitchen, a reading nook, and much more! Finn and Prue were also doing amazing in the workplace, as Finn adjusted well to his new job, and Prue was doing well at work, with the exception of her eyesight. As a physician, she knew that bad eyesight should be checked out immediately so that the damage doesn't get worse. She was put on the waiting list at an ophthalmology clinic, and only a few weeks later checked out. Sure enough, she needed glasses. Prue could have had another mindset about this, but she took this as an opportunity to freshen her appearance and she felt that her glasses gave her a new sense of professionality.

In addition to this big change, Finn welcomed a new colleague to his job. Her name was Paule Edwyna Nicodemo, and she was his new partner. She had just graduated college and was a quirky, caring woman. The pair grew close at work, and their professional relationship eventually became something more- a friendship, which eventually became a romantic relationship. The pair were secretly together for months, until one day, when Prue found out. She confronted Finn, and he apologized, but she couldn't take it, so they split temporarily.

 

2023

After a long six months apart, Finn and Prue reconciled. Prue was seriously affected by Finn's actions and she developed trust issues with him and her friends and family. As a second apology, Finn surprised Prue with a second cat. She was a sweet Persian kitten, and she loved being around Muenster. She named the little kitten, Stellaluna. They were truly obsessed, and so was Muenster. Prue took this as a reason to finally begin trusting Finn again. It was a good new beginning to this next chapter of their lives.

After their make-up, Finn and Prue receive the unexpected news that they are pregnant! They were not exactly ready to bring the child into the world at the time being, but eventually warmed up to the idea of becoming parents. Sadly, though, their time as parents was cut short as they had a miscarriage at 11 weeks gestation.

 

2024

After the loss of their precious baby, both Finn and Prue fell into deep states of depression. After a while, Prue began herself on the keto diet, hoping to lose some weight and make her feel a bit better about herself. She ended up losing a good amount of weight by the end of her journey, and began feeling much happier in general.

In hopes of cheering the family up, Finn and Prue adopted a sweet rabbit. They feel good caring for some one new, like they would be doing with a child right about now. They name their new pet Elvis, and he is a great addition to the Shine family.

 

2025

Finn and Prue had a great start to their year, being productive at work and at home, implementing new workouts to their daily lives, and creating new, efficient routines to help keep themselves on track. Everything was going well until one day Finn got a devastating call from his mom that his older sister, Anna Ayelet Cantu, was killed from an overdose, leaving behind her three children, Chiara Murielle Cantu (14; born 07/04/2011), Orli Cierra Cantu (11; born 07/06/2014), and Tanner Keld Cantu (3; born 02/22/2022). His mom said that she had left him and Prue her kids, and that they should consider adopting them. After thinking long and hard about the subject, Finn and Prue made the final decision to adopt their nieces and nephew. It was a tough adjustment, but over time, everyone got used to it, and it became their new normal.  With all the craziness going on, Finn leaves his job to be a stay-at-home parent to the kids. It is a big factor in helping them get what they need in this uncertain and difficult time for them.

 

2026

After a crazy last year, the world finally begins to slow down. Finn returns to work, and soon enough, everyone is back into their routine. Everything is going great until Prue finds out that Finn cheated with Paule again. She was incredibly disappointed and mad at Finn. She couldn't believe he'd do it again after finally trusting him. To make matters worse, they had the kids now, and Prue did not think that his behavior was ever acceptable, but especially now that they were parents. Although Finn apologized and said it would never happen again, Prue filed for a divorce. The judge allowed split custody of the kids, so they'd stay with Prue for the most part, but see Finn every other weekend. To try to relax and break away from the new, new normal, Prue took Chiara, Orli, and Tanner to a local waterpark for the day. The kids had the time of their lives, and Prue tried to have fun, but her mind was too caught up in all that had been going on.

 

2027

Prue began dating a man named Branden Iairos Eccleston (44; born 04/20/1983). He has two kids- Orpha Conchobhar Eccleston (24; born 10/09/2003) & Ammiel Bertrando Eccleston (22; 11/11/2005). They really hit it off. Orpha and Ammiel were great babysitters to the kids, and overall great siblings. They knew just how to help and care for their siblings, even when not needed. Branden was also a great father figure to the kids, though Finn was still in their lives. Prue and Branden were not planning on having any children, as Prue thought she was unable to carry a baby to term, but they unexpectedly got pregnant! It was a shock, and they certainly were surprised, but they were grateful and excited by the time their baby came. It's a boy! His name is Ricardo Phelix Eccleston and he was born on 08/21/2027. Ricardo has dark brown skin, curly dark brown hair, & dark brown eyes. He is built narrow, short, & thin. To add on to the crazy few years they've been having, Chiara gets her wisdom teeth removed and needs almost-constant medical help regarding it.

 

2028

At the very beginning of the year, Prue and Branden find out that they are going to be parents again and are thrilled! Sadly, though, their little girl passes away in utero and is stillborn. She was born on 04/05/2028 and her name is Yami Eccleston.

Branden dyes his hair blue to try to cheer the family up. It kind of works, as everyone is so surprised that he'd do such a thing. The family is still overcome with grief though, and it isn't easy for everyone to keep going, especially with all the loss they've had to endure in the past few years. But they do it anyway.

 

2029

The family moved on after Yami's passing, but still remember her in their day-to-day life. Prue is still devastated that she has difficulty carrying her babies to term when she discovers that she is pregnant. She tells Branden, and both of them are more terrified of loss than happy of gain. Eventually, though, the pregnancy reaches a point when the kids get told. Later on, their rainbow baby girl, Astra Nitza Yami Eccleston is born on 07/30/2029. She has dark brown skin, curly black hair, & hazel eyes. She is built broad, thin, & short.

In addition to the amazing baby born this year, Prue got a raise which was well-deserved and appreciated!

 

2030

The craziness doesn't end for the Hooker-Eccleston family! Though, at least, this time it is happy. Orpha moves out to her own apartment about ten minutes away from the rest of the family. She's really excited to begin being more independent in her adult life. Her apartment has one bedroom, a living area, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. It suits Orpha's needs perfectly and she was able to purchase it all on her own!

After Prue's raise, they were able to save up for another waterpark trip! Since the kids loved it so much last time, they had to return for even more fun! This time the younger kids could participate and Prue wasn't so stressed. It was a very fun and memorable family vacation.

 

2031

After a long 12 years as a physician, Prue was excited to try something new. After going back to school for a bit, she was able to land a job as a software developer at a well-known company. She loves it so far and is having a great time in her new career path.

After Prue took the leap, Branden wanted to show how proud he was of her. As a surprise, he adopted a yellow lab puppy and gave it to her. She (and the whole family) were over the moon with excitement. Their new little pup is called Sunshine.

 

2032

Orpha got married this year! Her husband is named Daniel "Dan" Macaiah Pape. He is 25 and was born on April 28, 2007. He is broad, muscular, & short. He has medium brown skin, wavy blonde hair, & green eyes. They had a beautiful wedding on a country field in Tennessee. Branden was so proud to walk his little girl down the aisle on her special day. They should be moving in together in no time!

In other, far less exciting news, Prue took on a second job as a business analyst. She works part-time, and is hoping to pay off her student loans!

I vote for Vanessa, but I am biased as I have a 6 month old named Vanessa Rose. Like you, I had a tough time deciding between Vivienne/Vivian/Vivien and Vanessa. Both are gorgeous names. I posted on various different boards and here is a recap of my findings.
Vivienne/Vivian/Vivien: climbing up the charts quickly mostly due to Jolie-Pit and Bundchen-Brady baby being given this name recently. It's very likely that the name is headed for the top of the charts in the near future. A lot of people associate the name with Vivien Leigh, which is definitely a nice association as the Gone With the Wind actress is stunning. Viv and Vivi are nicknames for the name, which get mixed reviews. I personally don't like Viv or Vivi as nicknames and also wanted to stay away from names that were associated with star kids' names. Also, I found that the Vivien/Vivian/Vivienne didn't roll of my tongue as nicely as Vanessa. The redundancy of the first 4 letters, didn't have the nice forward movement of Vanessa.
Vanessa: has been in the top 100 for over 3 decades, but peaked in the 80's with #42, which makes some people categorize the name as dated. Overall, though, more people think it's a timeless name. I don't think it's dated either because it was never popular enough to be a generation defining name. People tend to think that Vanessa is more romantic than Vivian/Vivien/Vivienne, which has a more prim and proper sound to it. There are many famous people with the name Vanessa: Vanessa Redgrave, Vanessa Carlton, Vanessa Paradis, Vanessa Lachey, Vanessa Marcil, Vanessa Hudgens, etc., and all are good associations as they are all beautiful women. I adore the nickname Nessa, which we use quite a bit for our baby.
In the end, I think it all comes down to personal style. You can't go wrong with either name as they are both gorgeous. You have to go with the name that gives you more of a wow factor and one that you can see yourself saying for many years to come. For me that name was Vanessa. Good luck!
