Hey (: I need to know your opinions on Javelin. I know it's a sport, but as a baby name it's very uncommon. I really love the sound and look of Javelin and I'm thinking about adding it to my top boy names instead of my GPs. Combos I like with it are

Javelin Brooks

Javelin Elijah Grant

Javelin Daniel

Javelin Samuel

Javelin Ambrose

WDYT? Thanks  :D

It's not my style. I didn't even think about the sport, to be honest I was pronouncing it like Jayv-lin before I read that part! With all the names ending in the -lin sound for girls that are popular it seems a bit trendy. I could picture in maybe on a young boy, but not necessarily a teenager or an adult. I don't ever tell anyone they can't use a name or that they shouldn't consider a name for any reason, everyone is different. But in my personal opinion, it seems very much like a GP name to me.

I agree with Melanie_Cora, it is very much the style of a GP. I can't see a person wearing the name at all, it's very strongly associated with the sport for me.

I agree. Although it is unique, I can't see it growing with the little boy as he gets older. But my favorite middle name you gave is Elijah Grant.

I actually like it. I think Javelin fits well with other popular boy names today like Gunner, Hunter, etc.

Javelin Brooks and Javelin Samuel seem to flow the best as middles.

Creative! I like the way it sounds as a name. Out of your middle name choices, I like Brooks and Ambrose the best.

Other boy names end with the -lin sound, so I think it is fine: Collin, Dylan, Flynn, Jalen, etc.
