My name is Mackenzie and I love this name and would like to use it for a future daughter, but is it too close to my name?

1. What are your thoughts on this name?

2. Which spelling do you like best?

3. What middle names do you think go well with this name?

4. Are there any other names like this one that would be better?

I like the name McKenna and I prefer the spelling McKenna to the others. I actually have cousins who are McKenzie and McKenna and I adore it. Their mom refers to them as the Mc's (em cee's or mac's).

I think the only other name that would be close to McKenna would be McKayla/Makayla/Michaela.

Not sure on middles but I'll be glad to come back later and post a list for you! (I'm in the car on the way to a friends house for Subday night TV haha)

1. What are your thoughts on this name?

I love Kenna for girls, but I'm not huge on McKenna. I do love Makena, though, the Kenyan (Kikuyu) [as well as Hawaiian] sound-alike name that is actually used on girls and has "happy one" [and in Hawaii "abundance"] as it's meaning.

2. Which spelling do you like best?

By far Makena is my favorite, but if that's out, go for McKenna.

3. What middle names do you think go well with this name?

I prefer Mckenna. I don't really like having a capital letter in the middle of a name. No offense, but I think it looks weird to have a capital in the middle of the word.
I think Mckenna's fine. It's just like an honoring name after you.
