Nova, I saw it and fell in love with it.

Mom associates it with the car, but there's something about it that I love.

Opinions pretty please, and be honest!

Thank you so much :)

I think of the Latin word novus, -a, -um--meaning new, and a super nova...

I'm not really liking it as a name, sorry :)

Do you know the funny thing about the Nova the car? Its not very popular in Spanish speaking countries because if you look at the name NO VA means NO GO in Spanish :). But I also think of Super Novas so I just think of it as another astronomy/mythology name like Stella or Cassiopeia and Orion. I think its pretty and similar but more unique than Nora which I also like.

Nova is okay. Not really my style but I think it might make a nice middle name.

I thought about the latin word, too!
I'm not sure I like it as a name, but when I read it, Nevia came to mind. It's equally unusual (maybe more so), but it sounds more like a name to me.
(:

Not a fan of Nova on it's own. Would make an interesting middle name though.
I taught a November "Nova" last year. She's a tiny little sweet, well-mannered girl who suffers from eczema (sp?). She has a younger sister named Shelby.

I don't hate it, but I think I like Nora(h) better... it's softer sounding

Nova is a guilty pleasure for me. It reminds me of the character Novalee Nation from the book Where the Heart is (one of my favorites). I also like Nola.

I like the name Nova. I alwas associate it with a character from an anime. (Magic Knight Rayearth, anyone? Second season?)

I like Nola (Someone said the name remind them of Enola Gay) and Novalee too.

Nova has a sophisticated sound to it, I think :D

I could see an adorable little girl with dark black curls and a dimpled face as I could a woman with still long black curly hair, very pale and gorgeous!!

The first thing I thought of was Novascotia (or however you spell that XD). But I think it'd be a great name!

Hope I helped!

It reminds me of Xenon or whatever that Disney movie was about the girl who lived in space.
But I really like it! It reminds me a little bit of Veda...it's very pretty and super-unique, and a little bit strong-sounding while still being very feminine.

I just adopted a kitten that we named Nova. His fur looks like a Supernova pattern so we named him Nova for short. But I do like it as a Guilty Pleasure name though, just to Space/Science like for me to actually use, its also really short. But its not the worst I've seen and its still nice.

for me it actually reminds me of a famous Aussie athlete Nova Peris-Kennbone. She was the first Abroiginal Australian to win a gold mdal at the Olympics. So for me, it has such great assosiations with it. I think it would work with just the right middle name. Its unusual without being crazy, its easy to spell and i would think any teasing. Nova Juliette to add a soft girly touch sounds nica as with any longer girly name ie charlotte, madeline katherine etc

My first thought is the car, honestly. And then I think about space for some reason
But after those associations pass, i actually like it!
I think it sounds dainty? I can't think of the word for it right now. :)
