Siblings are:
Martin Anthony
Clayton Charles (Clay)
Leo Garrison
Franklin Dean (Frankie)
Oscar Howland
Hazel Lucille (Lucy)
Edith Jean (Edie)
Just for kicks. His parents haven't made any suggestions. I know it will be a family name but I don't know what family names there are so put whatever you think works well.

Martin's parents have told Martin he has naming rights to "Junior". And Martin subsequently has no suggestions and told me to bring him suggestions. So...since I don't want to use my favorites nor can I think of any names they'd like throw them my way.

I'm also thinking of Frederick nn Freddie but is it too close Franklin nn Frankie?

I was actually about to suggest Frederick nn Freddie but concluded that it was too close to Frankie. How old is Frankie? If he's not living at home or will be moving out soon, then they wouldn't have to worry about confusing the names by the similar sounds when yelling up the stairs, etc. Maybe Frederick nn Rick(y)?

Martin vetoed Frederick, Angus and Theodore. I know Gideon is a no because I mentioned it yesterday and got a disgust look.
Arthur got a maybe. But the ending sound in Arthur and Oscar bother me especially when paid with their last name that ends in -er.
Edit: as a side note: is naming your own kid easier? I feel like they've gotta have a personality or at the very least you can see them.

Hmm. Maybe Gabriel? Or Daniel, John, or Jack? Owen, Paul, or Noah?
I know nothing about naming actual children or anyone else's children, but I feel like naming your own would definitely be easier for a lot of reasons. For example, a name Isaac would sound great in this sibset, but you wouldn't ever want to use one of your favorites on someone else's kid! So you've got a list of names NOT to use. And, it kinda seems like you are "disconnected" from the kid, you aren't imagining him running around in your backyard, or you driving him to school every morning, etc. Plus, this sibset is really big, so you've got a lot of names you're trying to work around.

Gabriel is one I won't suggest for personal reasons. It would be blow to me to hear them use it. Paulie is their dog so Paul is a no go. Owen is the name of two cousins that are close in age.
I'm a bit frustrated by the whole situation so trying to name him is more a pain rather than something fun. Its not the kid's fault but I think given the situation its irresponsible and the fact that I can't talk to his parents without being lectured is hypocritical and adds to my frustration.
So the list so far:
Arthur
Frederick
Jeremy
Wallace/Walter
and maybe Harvey.
Now to get Martin to talk about names. Again.

His parents didn't like any of our ideas so they revoked Martin's naming rights. This one Cullen 0rby and they're calling him 0rby which is apparently his great great grandfather's name.
