Hi Ladies,

As the title suggests i am in need of spelling help. Loving the name Kira, not loving how confused i am as to how to spell it! Growing up i had a friend Kira and always thought thats how to spell it. However when Keira Knightley came into the scene i thought maybe people would use that spelling. Then i aways get confused is it I before E or E before I. Will other people get confused too or is it just me.
Any other spelling variations out there? I have Kirra as i have seen that on my best friends next door neighbour.

I picked Kiera since I always use the I before E except after C thing.

,Thats what i thought too! Then after scamming google and others in this problem someone brought to my attention that it may be mis pn as Ky-er-a. That never entered my mind!

Not Kirra, as I would pronounce it kurr-ah
I like Kiera the best, personally. The ie dipthong has a very pleasing sound.
Kira is also nice.

Kira has my vote. The Kiera spelling makes it look like you're trying to say "Key-ERA" instead of "Kira" imo. And a perk to the simple spelling, you could go for a longer, fun middle to pair it with

I think Keira is the best spelling, seconded by Kira

Kirra makes me think kih-ruh, rather than kye-ruh (kye rhyming with fly, Kih having the same short I sound as lid). And Kiera makes me think key-air-uh, almost like Kiara from the Lion King Except Kiara is key-are-uh of course.
