Ok well it's not an actual baby but we are getting a new puppy and I need some name suggestions. Our dog's name is Kramer he is a Newfie and now we are getting a female Mini Aussie. Here is a picture. She is the one on the bottom. So far I'm liking Fargo, Viva, Snow, Phoebe, Juneau, Daphne, and Dolly.

Any other suggestions welcome that was just my current ideas to show my sort of style. I don't want more common dog names like Maggie Molly Rosie Bailey etc. and I also don't like names like Patches, Dottie, Spot

My husband has weighed in and says he only likes Fargo from that list.

He has also added Indy.

Does anyone have any suggestions similar to Fargo and Indy that we may like?

I love Mabel but the husband doesn't he seems to like Unisex type names as you can tell by Fargo and Indy. Winter is also pretty but with our other dog's name being Kramer I don't really want to use a name with an -er ending.

I was thinking Indiana but I figured we will always call her Indy anyways so I might as well just go with plain old Indy.

I really do like Fargo and Indy. I just know I'm going to get annoyed with how many people ask if it's a girl or a boy even after they know her name since it's not very gender specific.
That's the only reason I'm still looking for other options but if we find nothing else we like then she will be either Fargo or Indy whichever seems to suit her best when we go pick her up.

Our neighbor's dog is named Sky and our yards are literally connected at the fence. So to avoid finding out that the neighbor 3 houses down's dog's name is the same I'm looking for something very original. Something you have either never heard before on a dog, or you've only heard maybe 1 time. Definitely not Molly, Bella, Lady, Bailey, etc.

I hate having 20+ neighbors within a 500ft radius. But that's military housing for ya!

I like Indy, it reminds me of Bindy (Steve Irwin's daughter) so it has a little bit of Aussie feel to it :D

My sister has a female Australian Shepherd named Paisley and a male Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) named Drover (after Hugh Jackman's character in the movie Australia).

I never knew they had Mini-Aussie's!!!!

I'm going to show all these suggestions to my husband. I suggested Rue to him and he still likes Fargo and Indy better. I just think Rue sounds more like a girl name than the others so I like it better.

Kristi I love Shasta, I've already had a dog named it though, she died when I was 17.

Saoirse.

And whoever else mentioned Cashmere that's exactly what I was thinking when I looked at the picture. Cashmere and then she could have the more unisex nn Cash or something.

Her name will most likely be Fargo, I can't find anything the husband likes better and I like it too. I guess I will just have to deal with people asking if shes a boy or girl. But hey, I'm used to unisex name problems being named Casey.
