I am writing a story about 8 kids who gain magical powers and protect their kingdom.
They are from all different backgrounds and ethnicities and I have names for everyone except one of the girls.

The girl I am trying to find a name for is an orphan who has lived alone on the streets most of her life...she is very tough and steals and cons people for things she needs to survive. I imagine her about 14 years old (though she doesn't know how old she is), black with a kind of messed up light brown afro. When she gains her powers she has super strength and speed that make her the perfect fighter. I am looking for a name that is short and tough, and I was thinking that maybe she would have chosen it from the city where she lived or neighborhood so it doesnt necessarily have to be a traditional name, or a name used in a traditional way (i.e. surname or unisex).

The other female characters are Aria, Illia, Sage, & Sabine so I dont want anything too similar.
The guys are Harper, Ambrose, Dawud, Jayne, Rogan and Damian.

Names I have considered but I'm not sure about are...Gretchen (too long), Mace (a little too similar to Sage), Evin and Lo.

I dont think Emmy is the right name for her...I'm looking for something less girly....In order for it to stand out from the other names and have a different sound from them I think I'm looking for either a very short name or a long name that has a nn and starts with either a K, M, N, T or V. Any ideas?

I think what I'm looking for is a Nickname that really doesnt have anything to do with traditional names...I imagine her growing up on the street without any parents and not having a name but adopting a nickname given to her by the other children on the streets....Something like Pocket for Pick Pocket...or Figs for Fingers like she has fast fingers or something similar. Can anyone think of something along these lines?
