We are thinking about this name for our first little boy. We live in Texas and a few we have mentioned it to dislike it saying it sounds "old and hillbilly". We don't want that at all. We see it more as handsome and unique. Any thoughts on this?

First, I don't think Everett sounds hillbilly. Yes, it is an old name. Yes, a lot of old names are being used right now. I think if this is the name you like, go for it! In my opinion, it is not a name that screams, "I will be eternally teased or made fun of". If you just aren't sure or really worried about it, put it in the middle name slot.

Best wishes!
