The title says it all! I'm hoping for help on renovating my boys names! I'm pretty set on my girls, but I'm double guessing my boys names! All but one: Chase Nikolai.

So Chase Nikolai is the only name that's set in stone as staying. However, here's a bunch of names that I'd love some opinions and suggestions on!

~ Alexander (I was thinking maybe Alexander Holden?)
~ Holden
~ Mathias
~ William/Liam
~ Simon
~ Ashton
~ Leo
~ Henry
~ Caleb

Those are just a few, and generally my favorites! But I'm always open to more :D I have also been trying to find less popular names... though, at the moment, I don't mind popularity so much. I wont be having a baby for a while now, plus it matters more if you like the name and everything lol...

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the replies!

I kinda like Xander, and almost like Xan as a nick name, cause I definitely don't like Alex... so if Alexander ends up with any nick name, it's Xan :D I'm not sure why, but I'm very fond of Alexander <3 I'm thinking I might definitely want to keep Alexander Holden...

I used to not care for Holden much, but I don't know, I adore it now!

I can't decide whether I like Matthias or Mathias better. Cause for Matthew, I think it looks silly like Mathew. Yet, for Mathias, I think it looks more put together with only one t. Not sure... I'm thinking this would probably be a middle name, though I'm not sure :P

I love William, and I love Liam! I just got a horrible fear from my friend that he might want to be called Billy- which I don't particularly like! :D

I need middle name suggestions for Simon :L I like Simon Holden, but it doesn't flow well :D

Ash is an okay nick name, its cute. I mainly like Ashton, and never actually thought of a nick name... but I like Ash anywho! I don't mind it as either a middle name or first name, I just like it :D

I'm still trying to find a middle name for Leo, cause nothing seems perfect :L

I'd only use Henry for a middle name, but I do like it x3 Maybe I could use Leo Henry....

For Caleb, I think it might be only be a middle name. Cause I like it a lot, but I think only as a middle name...

I think Leo Mathias would be pretty perfect! I love it! Chase Nikolai, Alexander Holden and Leo Mathias! <3

Leo Ferdinand
Leo Wolfgang :D

For the record, over on Yahoo answers this one lady just named her son Leo Sebastian Felix (that's a first and two middles), and it's stuck in my mind as one of the best two middle combinations I've ever seen. I love Leo Sebastian. I also love love love Leo Caspian, and Leo Matthias of course. A few more suggestions:

Leo Gideon
Leo Dmitri
Leo Benjamin
Leo Alaric
Leo Warren
Leo Damian
Leo Alistair

I think 3 syllable names ending with N work best since Leo is so short and open-ended. A longer name with a solid ending makes it feel more complete.

I love Simon, too. The first Simon I can think of is the one from Firefly, so the name feels youthful, smart, and upperclass. And cute. :D Here are a few I would use (sorry that many of my suggestions contain my favorite names. I just don't like that many boy names).

Simon Joshua
Simon Gabriel
Simon Arthur
Simon Walter
Simon Charles
Simon Percival - truly sorry about this, but the history behind Percival gets me every time. I'm a sucker for Arthurian names. :D
Simon Isaiah
Simon Patrick - totally surprised, but REALLY liking this one. I rarely like Patrick. Bad personal associations.
Simon Xavier
Simon Gregory

I definitely like softer names for Simon because it ends with a strong "mon" sound. A medium to longish middle with one softer or unusual sound (like the "les" in Charles or the "shua" in Joshua) help make Simon feel a bit more flowing and a bit less like Simon Says. I definitely wouldn't recommend an S middle. :P

Hope i helped!

~ Alexander - Not a big fan, here are some of my favorite "replacements" Abner, Abijah, Alexis (yes, for a boy), Alijah, Adam, Abraham/Abram, Auston, Amadeus
~ Holden - Really like this one, here are some of my F"R" Harris, Harrison, Harley, Holder
~ Mathias - LOVE IT! F"R" Matthew, Mark, Malachi,
~ William/Liam -LOVE THEM!!! F'R' Wyatt, Weston, Levi, Lazarus, Lucas
~ Simon: Simeon, Symon, Silas
~ Ashton: NMS: Alsan, Abner, Abijah, Abinadab
~ Leo NMS: Liam, Levi
~ Henry: Hope to name my son this!
~ Caleb: Kevin, Colby, Carson

OoOo, Katie! I like:

~ Leo Conrad
~ Leo Christopher
~ Leo Caspian
~ Leo Wolfgang (Hehe, it'd end up a guilty pleasure, but cute! :D )
~ Leo Olivier
~ Leo Cassius

I do think C names would look nice with Leo, now to think about it... And Leo Cassius sounds just about perfect!!!

Heather, Leo Sebastian does sound really masculine and handsome :P Though everytime I hear Sebastian, I think of the little mermaid :/ It's ingrained in my mind-- otherwise, I might like it! :P

Leo Caspian is really nice! Though I'm not sure how much I like it yet... either Cassius or Caspian might be it!

~ Leo Gideon
~ Leo Benjamin
~ Leo Warren
~ Leo Damian (I loove Damian! Though, I know this really cute guy with the name, soooo :D

As for Simon, I like these:
~ Simon Joshua
~ Simon Gabriel
Simon Percival (I actually kind of like it! It's unique, yet not just made up! I'll have to look up the history behind it :D )
Simon Isaiah
Simon Patrick (It does sound good, but I also have bad personal associations... I was stalked all of last year by a creeper named Patrick :D )
Simon Gregory (not sure if I absolutely love it or hate it! :P )

And Rory, Abraham is okay, but it makes me think too much of "Father Abraham" :L And I've had some horrible experiences with religion in my home :'( Elijah might be okay, it doesn't make me think of the biblical guy every time I hear it. But none of them have the same feel as Alexander in my heart :P Hehe, I do like Alejandro, buuuut :P

I have debated Levi instead of Liam, lol! But Levi never seemed to catch on like Liam did on me lol

For Simon, I have thought of both Simeon and Silas! And I do adore Silas :P But I dunno, I'd have to think about it a while lol!

I kinda like Carson too.... <3 But there are too many unisex names in the family, so Carson might sound girly in comparison to Ryan Chase, Cassidy, Delaney, etc :L

Thanks for all the replies!!! Leo Cassius/Caspian and Simon Percival might actually be pretty close to perfect! Though, would it be wrong of me to pronounce Cassius like cass-ee-us instead of Cash-us? Like how you can say Cassia like Cass-ee-ah instead of Cash-ah? Silas might also be back on the list! <3

I'm glad you liked so many of my suggestions, though some of them were a bit out there.

Cass-ee-us is a valid pron. of Cassius, and is how I prefer to pron. it.

Babynamesworld.com actually has it as the first pron. and therefore its the more popular pronounciation...

I've always pronounced Cassius as Cass-ee-us, and I doubt many people will go for Cash-us from the spelling. I like Cassius, but I definitely prefer Caspian. I'd guess it's that when I say it, Cassius just feels like the girl nickname Cassie + us. Then again, I know a Cassie. I have a reservation about Caspian, too, but like Cassius it's just a nitpick so I won't bother you with it.

I'm pretty shocked you like Percival, I've never ever seen it on a name list. :D Both those things make me happy.

"Sir Percival was the second most holy (after Galahad) of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table, extremely pious but somewhat naive (at least as a youth; he became quite wise as an adult)." Source "The story of Percival suggests that the answer is found in us, expressed though chivalry, compassion and opening our minds to truth." Source2 :D I'd call that a good association.

I doubt it could be pulled of as a first name, but as a middle it lends a nice weight and history to Simon.

I've only known two people named Patrick, and they both have been creepers - my ex and my best friend's ex. They were two different Patricks, too. I don't know a Patrick I still like, and yet I used to like the name before I met them. I do think it goes exceptionally well with Simon, though.

I don't like Simeon or Silas nearly as much as Simon. It just seems like it has the best of both names, Silas' strong start and Simeon's strong finish.

Also, I'd definitely go with Liam over Levi. I hear Levi and my mind always follow it with "jeans." Not a bad association or anything, but Levi just feels less name-like than Liam.

~ Alexander - I love Alexander. It is strong and masculine. I especially love the nn Sasha.
~ Holden - Not really my thing. Feels really trendy next to some of the classics on your list.
~ Mathias - I love this one as well, though I prefer the spelling Matthias. Alexander & Matthias would make an awesome sib set.
~ William/Liam - Love William! Timeless and handsome. I prefer the nn Will but Liam is nice. I much prefer William nn Liam to just Liam on his own.
~ Simon - Awesome! It has a 'cool nerd' vibe.
~ Ashton - Too trendy for my liking. I prefer Asher though he is becoming quite trendy as well.
~ Leo - Very cool! I love the simplicity of this one. No fuss.
~ Henry - I adore Henry. Would be great with Simon.
~ Caleb - Not a favorite of mine but I like it nonetheless.

Great list!

Phew! Well, I'm glad! Cause Cash-us doesn't sound as nice to me, personally :L But Cassius seems to handsome! <3 I'm glad that's house most people pronounce it too!

I've never seen Percival anywhere else before! I do like how it isn't popular like Alexander and Liam lol, sadly so popular... :D But I do like the story with it! Great association!

Haha, maybe Patrick is just not a name for us :D Cause I too have never met a Patrick that I still like/ever liked... :L Always creeper, sadly enough! though it does sound nice with Simon...

Haha, tis true! That's why I like Simon myself... I still love Silas, and Simeon is still cute. But Simon still wins for now.. haha!

Levi does make me think of jeans, yet I still like it :P Liam wins my heart over Levi any day, but it still has a cute feel to it x3

That''s my feel on Alexander, though! Strong and masculine! Wayy to handsome! :P

Holden does look kinda trendy, being lots of the names that are in trend are ending in -en. But it makes me think of Holden Caulfield :D

I still have no idea why, but I always remain liking Mathias instead of Matthias! D: It almost looks like too many t's in Matthias, yet I only like Matthew with two t's... it makes no sense :L Mathias doesn't look silly though, does it?

I did like Will for a while, but for whatever reason I prefer the nick name Liam... oh yeah, I did a topic on Will vrs, Liam one time, I think! Or at least I did a thing on personalities and decided to use the one of which the personality I prefered lol

Haha, cool nerd :D

I was debating Asher to Ashton. Said aloud, I like Ashton best. But when I look at it, Asher does look so much more handsome! Decisions, decisions :P

Never thought of Leo that way yet besides liking how it sounds and looks, but I actually feel the same! In that inward area that I didn't realize I felt until now! :P But it totally does sound like a simple, no fuss name!!!

Simon Henry might be pretty great, really... <3

Thanks so much, Katie, Heather and Tiffany! Extremely helpful!!!! <3
