So I've been loving Ferris for a girl. It reminds me of To the Fairest... and faeries and so it has a very whimsical, mythological and girly feel to me. However, the spelling Ferris reminds me of a Ferry or a carnival Ferris wheel which is far from whimsical and girly since carnivals are dirty stinky places...thought the lights and sounds can be very beautiful and surreal. But more to the point, I'd like to look at other spellings for the name Ferris.

Please tell me which of the options above you like best and if you have any other suggestions please feel free to share.

Thanks!

I think Faris is my favourite. It's the most simple and least over-done... though it does seem quite masculine.

I voted for Farys. It's a beautiful name! I honestly think Ferris is fine, but I understand your dislike for the association with Ferris Wheels and carnivals.

Farys is lovely. Reminds me of Farrah. It's definitely a feminine spelling. (:

I kind of like Feris, but it does almost look masculine for some reason.

I voted Ferys. I think it looks really pretty and kind of magical, as you described. I like it!
