I was looking through a list of these on nameberry last name at random, and decided to post a topic about it!

I think I might interest in adding more of these sorts of names to my list :) I like the idea of my future child's name, if its a girl, being very feminine. I like my girls names to be feminine! But, I also like the idea of having options on nick names and all. Because you can never know if your little girl might end up being more of a tomboy  So this would include space for her to be able to use a nick name that may end up suiting her better! And you know, stuff among these lines.

Nick names normally aren't that important to me, cause I'm the type who'd resort to things like "Punkin' head", "Sunshine", "Pookie//Pooka-Pook", "Handsome", etc to kiddo's and all. But, these sorts of names are currently appealing to me! <3

So... here are a list of ones that I like! What do you think? I'm open to suggestions, if you have any!

Charlotte - Charley // Lottie
Alexandra - Alex // Lexie
Arabella - Ari // Belly
Katherine - Kat // Katie
Daniella - Danny // Ellie
Harriet - Harri
Isabel - Izzy // Bela
Joanna - Joey // JoJo

These are the only ones on the list that I liked... the first nick name is the more masculine nick name. The second is one I guess I'd stick to if she was more girly and all. All of these were on the list I was looking at.. but I was curious on two of them... Does Ari and Kat seem like masculine nick names? Because on the list they had Arabella nick name Ari and Catherine nick name Cat. Which both names I do love. I read somewhere that Ari is a masculine name in Hebrew I think, but when I hear Ari I think Aerie the ladies underwear store. And for Kat, I don't think masculine at all, though the nick name is cute. What do you all think? Either way Katherines been on my list since I was like six so it stays... but yes.

Do you guys have any names like this on your list? :) What do you think of it? I'd love to hear others opinions and suggestions! <3

I know a girl whose name is Raianna (like Ray-Anna) and her brothers call her Ryann but her girl friends call her Annie..? Haha.

I just wanted to contribute to the conversation. <3

I didn't actually think about it, but most of the names on the list have girly nn's that could work too.

Like Penelope - Penny/Elle, Camille - Millie/Ami, Lucille - Lucie, Evangeline - Evie etc.

I LOVED your list of them Remy :)
Also loved Yazzie's list.

I think Yas covered just about all of them
But I know a Summer who goes by the nickname of 'Sum'.. Which kinda sounds less Girly. :)

Also you could do Olivia with the nickname Ollie. [Or Liv]

I quite like the idea too!

I've always been Katie, growing up I was a big tom boy and thought about changing my name to Kate because I felt it was more grown up than Katie but couldn't make it stick. Kat to me isn't exactly tom boy but it is less feminine than Katie.
