So, upon reading about Lauren's topic.. I remembered how much I love the name Emery / Emory!! <3 She prefers it on a girl... however, I much prefer it on a boy

What do you think of this name on a boy? If I'm not mistaken, its originally a boys name. However, I can see how it could sound feminine. But I love it all the same <3 Also, which spelling do you prefer? I am kind of preferring Emery.. though I tend not to like O's as much as E's or A's. Does it look more manly with one letter over the other? Oh! And any middle name suggestions? Originally I was thinking Emery Tanner... but I feel bad, because every time Mike suggests a name to me I always seem to put my names I like as first names and the names he likes as middle names In my defense, I do think the name genuinely flows much better as Emery Tanner rather than Tanner Emery... though, why do you think? Is Tanner Emery okay? I know that Emery Tanner definitely sounded better. But do you think that Tanner Emery would be like, nice sounding as well? If not, could you give me middle name suggestions for Tanner, and first or middle name suggestions for Emery? <3

I already have these names on Our list: Chase Anthony Ryan, Hunter Zachary, Archer Cole, Liam Alexander, Dylan Connor; Matthew, Caleb, Jacob, Finn, Austin, and Jason. I'm debating flipping Zachary Hunter over, because I know Mike really loves the name Zachary with nick name Zack, even though I don't really love it. Its nice and all, but I adore Hunter much more.. and I know he likes Hunter... same problem with Chase Anthony Ryan. I'd like to do Anthony Ryan Chase or Anthony Chase Ryan, cause Mike also really loves Anthony nick name Tony [which Anthony also happens to be his middle name, so it'd honor him]. But I absolutely adore Chase... ah! Mike did say he loves these combo's as are. But I still do feel bad...


Oh well! Here's a summary of all of what I asked of you:
1. Opinion of Emery on a boy
2. Spelling Emery or Emory
3. Is Tanner Emery doable? Or would only Emery Tanner sound nice.
4. If no, MN's for Tanner? FN/MN's for Emery?

I think Emery could work on a boy and I definitely prefer the spelling "Emery"... for some reason it just seems more masculine to me.  I agree: Emery Tanner sounds much better than Tanner Emery.  The latter doesn't flow well in my opinion.  Here are some other suggestions:

I thought so too! <3 I'm definitely sticking with Emery! <3 I'm so sad Tanner can't go before Emery without making the combo sound a tad wonky though :/ I really like these of your suggestions though!

I think Tanner Benjamin and Tanner Colin are my favs for Tanner, and I adore Logan Emery but I know Mike said he thinks Logan sounds awkward :/ so sad! But I am really loving Gavin Emery!!!!! It sounds so handsome, and I just love it!!!! Charles Emery is high up as well though, as Charles honors so so many people in my family! Plus I adore nick name Charlie <33
