So dont let the Topic Title fool you, I am thrilled to be having a baby boy. This is my 3rd child and my first boy! I must say that I have always been a little nervous when it comes to raising little men but I am up for the challenge. My biggest dilemma is deciding a name. There just dont seem to be any boy names that spark my interest. I am looking for something unique, but not totally off the wall (because my husband wont go for it lol). These are some of the names that we kinda like...Please give us some advice. We are open to new suggestions as well!

Nolan- Rather surname-ish, perhaps Novak, River or Zane?
Potter- To surname-y and I think people would ask if he was named after Harry Potter
Tucker- To much teasing potential for me
Noah- A nice biblical name, very very popular now a days.
Skye- To feminine for a little boy
Kai- Seems rather nickname-ish like for Kaiden or Kiezer
Leon- A rather dated name but it's cute
Levon- Not a huge fan, sounds made up
Jonah- A nice biblical name, perhaps Josiah, Balthazar, Gabriel or Azrael?
Caleb- A very 90's nice, it's nice
Forest- A nice name though a little dated
Shepard- To word and surname like, perhaps Mason, Bailey, Deacon or Callum?
Wolfe- It's nice but to animal like, Perhaps Wolfgang or Foxander (Fox-Xander)
Ari- A nice boy name though a popular nickname for girls named Arabella, Ariana, Ariel and Ariella
Ezra - I like it, underused and strong

Other suggestions:

Like any?

Nolan-it's ok...but I'm not a fan
Potter-I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, but this name just makes me think of the character and I think it's too much
Tucker-it's nice
Noah-it's ok, not a fave of mine though
Skye-I've only known girls with this name
Kai-LOVE THIS NAME! One of my faves
Leon-I REALLY like this name too!
Levon-it's ok.
Jonah-not a fan, sorry
Caleb-it's okay...not my style though
Forest-I never liked this name
Shepard-seems very dated
Wolfe-I don't like it
Ari-all I can picture is an older Jewish man, not a baby, sorry
Ezra-I kind of like this name but it is not my favorite.

Out of your list my faves are definitely Kai and Leon. Good luck!

What are your daughter's names if you don't mind me asking? It would help us figure out what goes best with your daughters name, but if that isn't an issue for you then don't worry about it.

Nolan - I think Nolan is okay, its not really my style. I always think of Nolan Ryan the baseball player so to me it is a very sporty and solid name. It is a nice underused choice, I just find it a tad boring.
Potter - Very surname-y although still very usable in the first name spot. Considering your 'screen name' is fleurdelacour, I going to assume that Potter is after HP. I'm sure that many people would make that connection as well. I think Potter is very cute, just not sure it would age very well.
Tucker - LOVE! :) Tucker is one of my favorite names for a boy. It has a southern boyish charm which is definitely my style.
Noah - Okay, Noah is a nice name, just a bit too popular for my taste.
Skye - Eh. I'm not a huge fan of Sky(e) on either gender.
Kai - Again not a fan. To me Kai sounds more like a bird call than a name. I just prefer something more substantial, like Kyler maybe.
Leon - I really like this name. :) Leon has the cute, boyish feel as Leo but where Leo feels nicknamey, Leon has more stand alone power for a first name.
Levon - Always makes me think of the Elton John song. It's a nice name but not my favorite from your list.
Jonah - Very cute on a little boy but still wearable on an adult. I also like the name Jonas a lot but with the Jonas Brothers, I feel Jonah is a bit more usable.
Caleb - Okay. Has the same style/feel as Jonah or the overused Noah (biblical yet still modern). But I prefer Jonah.
Forest - Cute, but still teasing potential with Forrest Gump.
Shepard - I have a friend named Shep and I've always liked his name. Shepard nn Shep would be super cute.
Wolfe - I know of a Wolfgang nn Wolf(ie) although I've never met anyone with this name. I KNOW it is a name, but I guess until I meet someone named Wolf I can't really get on board with it. It just isn't very wearable to me.
Ari - <3
Ezra - <3 Both Ezra & Ari have the same sort of style (soft yet masculine). Of the two I think Ezra is my favorite.

My absolute favorites from your list are Tucker, Jonah, Leon & Ezra.
My least favorites would be Kai, Skye and Wolfe.

Nolan- its ok, reminds me of the weird guy on tv series Revenge though :(
Potter- Dont like sorry
Tucker- Dont like sorry
Noah- Love!- its on our list, although the fact its so very popular around here turns me off a bit.
Skye- Like for a girl only
Kai- LOVE LOVE LOVE-- but same thing as Noah its very popular where we live.
Leon- Like
Levon- Dont like sorry
Forest- No sorry just reminds me of Forrest Gump
Shepard- No No...so sorry
Wolfe- No NO again sorry
Ezra- Dont like sorry.

All the best with your decision :D
