I have fallen in love with the name Bay. I love that it reminds me of a hotel in Vegas and that it reminds me water. And sailing... Can it stand on it's own? I don't like Bailey or any of it's spellings. I just think that Bay is a beautiful name. What do you think of the name Bay? Any middle name suggestions you could give me? Thanks. :-)

Oh, I also really am starting to like the name Everly. I know Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum recently named named their little girl that, so it'll probably go up in popularity, but I really like it. Opinions and middle name suggestions would be awesome.

Lastly, I have been inspired by Las Vegas, Nevada. Even though I haven't exactly been there yet, it holds a special place in my heart. I hope to get married there someday, lol. Any Vegas inspired names you can suggest would be great. But nothing too crazy.

Thanks for putting up with my long post. Don't feel like you have to answer all of my questions. You could answer just parts and that would be very helpful. Thank you!! :-)

Bay is a guilty pleasure of mine! I first heard it on the TV show, Switched at Birth. Such a beautiful name.
Bay Alexandra, Bay Penelope, Bay Madison.

Everly is an adorable name! Since the name has been used by a celebrity I would expect it to skyrocket on the charts. Everly Ruth is my favorite combo! With a potential nickname of "Evie-Roo".

I really love Bay :) I've seen it more on boys, but I think it works for girls, too. I know a little Charlotte Bay. I also think Bay Evangeline is pretty.

I really like Everly, but Can't see myself legitimately using it. Just personal taste, I guess. My favorite combo, thanks to BNG, is Everly Ruth with the around-the-house nickname Evie Rue :) Everly Ann, Everly Paige, Everly Violet, Everly Katherine (Evie Kate?), Everly May / Mae, Everly Isobel, Everly Jenna, Everly Willa, Everly Savannah.....

As for Las Vegas names: I knew a little girl named Vegas. You could also use Vega. I also know of a Nevada, but I think that's a little odd...haha. Maybe pull Ada or Neva from Nevada? Maybe even Vada? or, You could call a girl Presley. Maybe a boy named Clark, after Clark County (where Vegas is...)? Or Lark for a girl? Mandie from Mandalay? Cassia or Cassian like Casino?

I first saw it on Switched at Birth too! I think I like Bay Alexandra best from your suggestions. Bay Madison is out because Madison is my name. And I'm not really a fan of my own name. Maybe Bay Madeline though? Evie-Roo is an adorable nickname, but I dislike the name Ruth because of someone I know. Thanks for your opinion, Emily. Also, I love both of your sons' names. They both have the country charm to it. :-)

Ooh, I like Bay Evangeline!! And I like Everly Isobel. Yeah, Emily mentioned the adorable nickname Evie-Roo. Vegas is too crazy for me, but I was thinking Bay after Mandalay Bay. Thanks for your opinions, Addy. And I love some of the names in your signature. :-)

Thank you so much! Took a lot of time to figure out them both! :) I really would like to use Everly, then again it is similar to my name.

Taking a lot of time to be sure of your choice is good thing... that's why I'm starting now. Lol. It'll probably be about 10 years before I even start to think about really having a baby. :-)

Just a side note, I like the name Baylor, nickname Bay.

I still think that Bay is precious as a standalone name as well :)

I love both the name Bay and the name Everly! Everly more so than Bay, but I do like both. I think Bay is a very strong sounding short name, and Everly is a very pretty name.

So middle name ideas..

Bay Magnolia
Bay Lucinda
Bay Georgina
Bay Talulah
Bay Virginia
Bay Caroline
Bay Adeline

Everly Belle
Everly Grace
Everly Ida
Everly Willow
Everly Jolene

I think Bay goes perfectly well on its own. Have you seen that ABC show Switched At Birth? I've not seen a lot of it, but one of the main characters is named Bay. Tbh I didn't like the show and the character kinda turned me off of the name Bay. But before her association, I thought it was pretty and feminine <3

And I am loving Everly too ;) It may gain popularity, it may not. Guess time will tell <3

And for Vegas themed names? Uh Dice? Vega (name of a star). I think star names would suit, like Stella or Estelle? I have a hard time thinking of good names as my associations are far darker than sparkly lights :/ Entertainment yeah, but eh <3

Thanks for all your opinions... I like Bay Guinevere (Guinevere is one of my fave songs which is nice...) Everly Rose is pretty.
Remy, I have seen Switched at Birth... Bay has kind of a negative sarcastic view on life... I don't let it bother me. I don't really know what makes a Vegas name Vegas-y. Lol. I've never actually been to Vegas, so I guess I could find inspiration by like street names or something. :-)

I understand Bay's appeal, and while it does seem more like a nickname than a full name to me, I think it could work on its own, as either a first or middle name. Here are some middle name suggestions (sorry for any repeats):

Bay Evangeline
Bay Cordelia
Bay Charlotte
Bay Elizabeth
Bay Cassandra
Bay Evelyn
Bay Eloise
Bay Sophia
Bay Ophelia
Bay Mackenzie
Bay Madison
Bay Josephine
Bay Gwendolyn
Bay Savannah
Bay Genevieve
Bay Isabella
Bay Rosamund
Bay Jessamine
Bay Isadora
Bay Francesca

Everly seems useable to me, but I agree that Channing Tatum's new baby may create "celebrity baby name" connotations for it. Have you considered Evelyn, Eva, Eve, Ever, Eden, Emily, Emmaline, Evangeline?

Everly June
Everly Kate
Everly Alice
Everly Fern
Everly Brooke
Everly Jane
Everly Bay
Everly Sage
Everly Pearl
Everly Maeve
Everly Jasmine
Everly Diane
Everly Carys

As for Vegas-inspired names, I'm not quite sure what to suggest. I don't know a lot about Las Vegas! Here are some suggestions I found:

Boys
Presley
Carlo / Carl (after Monte Carlo)

Girls
Mira (after The Mirage)
Lux
Bella (Bellagio)
Soleil (Cirque du Soleil)
Paris

You could also always have a combo with the initials LV, after Las Vegas.

I have decided I LOVE Everly Rose. After a lot of thought. And as for Bay, I'm unsure. Bay doesn't sound good with a lot of last names...

Bay makes me think of a character in Once Upon a Time (In this instance, a boy). I like it, though. It's nice, however, I can just see it as a boy's name.

Everly is gorgeous too!
