I'm having a baby girl soon and we want to name her Lachlyn or Locklyn. We can't decide on the spelling, which do you prefer?

I'd go with Lachlyn. Have you considered Laken or Leighton? Those are more commonly used for girls and are very pretty.

I prefer the Lachlyn spelling, but you might have to perpetually correct people with how to pronounce it. Congrats on your baby!

Lachlyn, but I'd much prefer it spelled Lachlan and on a boy, it's far too masculine for a little girl IMO. I like Addy's suggestions of Laken or Leighton, those are a little softer and are seen more on girls.

In Numerology the name Lachlyn will make her a leader... independent and ambitious. Locklyn will make her more caring and sensitive... and possibly artistic.
And if you consider Numerology baloney then Lachlyn looks more traditional... but Locklyn is less likely to be misspelled!
