My boyfriend and I are first time parents and are really struggling to find the perfect name for our little man. My due date is coming very rapidly, September 6th, and pressure is definitely mounting. I have recently come across the name Riley for a boy and I really like it but am apprehensive to use it because I'm not sure if it sounds too feminine. Before I came across Riley we were leaning toward the name Jackson...mostly because it was the only name we could both agree on and that was a decent name. Anyone have any suggestions or advice on where we should go from here?

Riley was and IS a boy name, sure its been used on girls but I also knew a girl named Dylan but that doesn't make it a girl name. Riley is very cute on a boy, go for it!!!

It is much more masculine than feminine in my opinion. It CAN be used on a girl and be okay, but in general in my opinion it belongs on boys.

Also, Riley Jackson is a good option :)

Riley is all boy to me. It was originally a boy's name, and to be honest, I'm not a fan of it on a girl.

I love Riley :) Go for it!

Riley fits a boy more than a girl, in my opinion.

Love Riley for a boy.

Go for it! :)

I know a little girl named Riley and I know a guy named Ryly. I think it's a fine name for either a boy or a girl. As for the name Jackson, as much as I love it, I swear everyone I know that's had a baby boy recently have named them Jackson/Jaxon. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'd go with Riley. (:

I think Riley is a great name for a boy! Spelled Reilly it looks more masculine IMO, but the spelling Riley is nice too. Riley Jackson would be a very handsome name for your son.
