I came up with the combination while in Washington DC last week; where I met an older German woman with the name Sabine, for some reason I automatically became partial to the name and thought it would go well as a middle name to one of my current favorite girls names (Elisabeth).

Elisabeth Sabine G----

Do you like "Elisa" or "Liesl" better as a nickname? I really don't like common nicknames used for Elizabeth/Elisabeth.

Is the combination too vowel heavy?

Does it look too German for a child with minimal direct Germanic ancestry (about 20% or 1/5th from Drenthe and Basel-Stadt both) and mostly of Scottish and English descent?

But then what the heck am I thinking that doesn't matter in this century.

I guess I'm too much of a name purist. <_<
