I'm writing a story for my writing club about a music school- and I'm choosing names and doing my whole character outlines right now. I'm working on the main character and her best friends. If you could tell me which names you like the most for each character and give me a suggestion or something, that would be great. All of the, are between 12-14 in age.

Main- Bubbly, happy, but can have a really bad temper that can get her in trouble. Plays piano, guitar, and sings folksy-indie pop stuff. Nobody in her family is musical, so she went to music boarding school and has no friends except her two best friends. Names I'm considering are Elya, Elia, Eliya, Eliyah, Avila, Avia, Avyla, and Aveline.

Girl best friend- Supportive, but sometimes can be brash. Sarcastic and snarky. Plays ukulele, flute, and piano, and sings singer-songwriter in the vein of Regina Spektor. She has an older brother named Caldon. Names I'm considering are Milena, Melanie, Caroline, Carolina, and Eris.

Boy best friend- Helpful and selfless, but can get kind of distant. Is an only child. Plays piano, guitar, and drums, and likes punk music similar to The Offspring, Blink 182, and Greenday. Names I like for him are Uriah, Willem, Hartlan, Kendall, and Kendrick.

For the main, I like Avia. Also, maybe Violetta or Reverie or Lark.

For the best friend, I like Sienna or Asha (prn Aw-shuh) or Aislinn. Also maybe Fallon.

For the boy best friend, I like Roone/Rune or Aeson. Maybe Durham or Atlas or Jasper.

My favorites are bolded.

For surnames, I suggest:

Avia Austen

Violetta Sayer

Reverie Foster

Lark Shapley

Sienna Halston

Asha Reagan

Aislinn Walker

Fallon Rafferty

Roone Carlisle / Rune Magnussen

Aeson Cooper

Durham Bailey

Atlas Redmond

Jasper Foley
