Name: Jessica

My baby boy is going to have the misfortune of having the surname Hamburger. My husband and I are thinking of the name Samuel - which I love, as a stand alone name, but not sure if it goes well with Hamburger. Your advice please?

Samuel Hamburger is lovely. Though I love the full name Samuel, I must admit Sammie is a cute nickname for when he's little.

I think it might be nice to use your husband's first name as a middle name, or even the name of a close family member or friend.

Because Sam and Ham rhyme, I'm afraid he would be teased.

I think with the name hamburger he will be teased anyway. My last name is Burgan and I was. I think Samuel is a great name. Samuel _______ Hamburger.

With the last name Hamburger, he's going to be made fun of no matter what. So I say go with Samuel. Maybe I'm a bit biased because my name is Sam, but I like it :)

I really like Samuel and as the others have said, there is really no way around the teasing! I like Scarlets idea to use your husbands or a family members name as the middle. Samuel Hamburger is very handsome! If you really love the name use it!

Samuel is really cute. Sam or Sammie would be very cute nicknames.
