Zachary Christian vs. Wesley Christian

I like the name Zachary, but my hubby hates it! I wanted to name our son Zachary Christian, he can’t stand it. He likes Wesley. Which one do you like? Thanks

If your husband HATES it, it shouldn’t be considered. Find a name you both at least like.

^^ agree. As much as like Zachary (and its much better than Wesley), if he hates it you should look at more names and maybe find a name you both like.

I prefer Zachary I dont like Wesley at all. But I think you should use a name you both like

I like the name Wesley better, but it’s too much religion when combined with Christian. I comes across sort of like the beginning of an SAT question:
Wesley : Christian :: Gandhi : _______
a. Buddhist
b. Catholic
c. Hindu
d. Wiccan

Don’t use a name that either of you hates. You’ll both have to compromise on a name that is in both of your top 10 -- that’s better than one of you getting your #1 and the other one getting a name s/he hates. (And then keep that spirit of compromise going for all the rest of what goes into parenting. It’s only life-and-death stuff that people should be unbending about.)

I love the name Wesley and the nn Wes.I just think it’s a great choice!

Wesley sounds like a "wussy" name. I guess you guys should start over from scratch. Maybe there’s one you both find handsome.
