Astrid vs. Aster vs. Esther

Hesper, Seren. What do you think of these names? They all mean "star". Would like to use one as my mother in law is "Star" and my Grandmother is "Danica" which means morning star. I can’t use Star/Danica blatantly as other relations will be miffed so I have to be slick!

the only one i like is Seren, they others all seem a bit old fashioned, what about

Sterling (but i prefer it on a boy)

I don’t like any of them as first names. They would make fine middle names (especially with Danica, I like that a lot) but I think they seem frumpy and too noun-ish as names.
Maybe Selena or Celeste for more of a sky-theme, not just stars?
