Christopher (Chris) and vs. Grace
What do you think of these names for twins? Our daughter, Abigail Ruth, who’s favourite singer is Chris Tomlin, wants to name one of the twins after him and our son, Matthew Jacob’s, favourite song is Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone), so we got Grace from there. Do you like these names and do you think the connection is too strange, or should we go for it? Thanks! ~Anna and David

I like them :). I think they’re cute and definitely match your older children’s names. Do you need middle name suggestions?

I love Christopher. It’s very masculine, it has a nice historical feel as well as contemporary appeal, and it has some great nickname possibilities (Chris, Kit, Topher). Plus, it’s not nearly as overused as it once was. I think it’s an excellent choice!
As for Grace, I feel like it’s a bit boring. It’s pretty, but it’s become way too common. I have a five year old daughter, and there are 4 Graces in her dance class (out of 20 girls). Plus, it seems like every girl these days has the middle name Grace. I’d keep looking for a girls name that feels slightly less overdone if I were you.

uh, I think letting these name choices get this far (after singers and songs suggested by children) is just silly, uncreative and a little strange.
