We like the name Hailey for our second daughters name but our first daughter is Megan lee, so would naming our second Hailey be odd? thanks!

I dont think it would be wierd at all. There’s people calling their children Evelyn, Madelyn and Kaelyn. Why not Hayley and Megan Lee. It would be Megan and Hayley anway wouldnt it? (:

And it’s not Hay Lee and Megan Lee. :) So no. I dont find it odd at all.

I think she’s thinking of the hard ’e’ sound on the end of both names. I think they are enough different in the first syllable sounds that I don’t find it odd. Something like Hadyn and Jadyn would be odd to me.

I think it would be fine. Does your older daughter go mostly by Megan or Megan Lee? If she goes mostly by Megan Lee, maybe you could give Hailey a double name...like Hailey Anne, Hailey Grace, Hailey Jane, Hailey Beth, Hailey Kate, etc. That would help break up the "lee" sounds at the end of Megan LEE and HaiLEY! What do you think?

as long as Lee is your other daughters middle name and she doesn’t go by Megan Lee then i think it would be fine, if she does then it’s too matchy
