lee-la vs. lie-la

I left a couple polls early about the name Lila and how you would pronounce it/spelling preference. Most thought Lila is Lee-la not Lie-la. What do you think how would you pronounce it? How do you prefer it to be spelled? I like Lila the best but I don’t want people thinking her name is Lee-la. Thanks Allison!

Definitely lie-la. If you are having touble getting that pronunciation across, what about the spelling Lilah? Good luck!

I would think it was Lie-la but prefer the spelling Lilah. I typically like names without the useless H but this is one exception. I also like Delilah with the nickname Lilah.

I know some people spell it Lyla, which I can’t stand.

Ive never heard that name said like lee-la. That seems silly to me. I LOVE it said like lie-la though! I like both spellings-Lila and Lilah

Lyla is a pretty alternative to Lilah and should definitely get the right pronunciation across! Good luck!

My friend’s name is said "Lee-lah" which is the only way I say it that way. If I didn’t know her, I’d say Lila as "Lye-lah". However, I do prefer the spelling Lilah.

Lie-la, and it’s pretty. I agree that Lilah might help clear up pn, but I don’t think it’s necessary.
