Evan vs. Elijah vs. Emmett

We are expecting our third child. Older siblings are Michaela and Ellis Thomas. We’d like to keep "E" names for boys. I’d love some feed back on these names and some suggestions for other "E" boy names and/or middle names that go along. Thanks! ~Lindsay

I love Evan, Ethan, and Elijah but I think Evan goes best with Ellis. I am not a big fan of Emmett (even though it is my nephew’s name).

Evan Daniel or Evan Michael would be very handsome.

You don’t think it’d be too close to Ellis Thomas? His older brother? I don’t know if I’d want to use the same middle name... Thomas is after my father... What about Evan John or Evan Theodore? Those are both family names... Thanks for the suggestion but I think Ethan is more common than I would like...

Evan Theodore is really classic and handsome! Evan is the Welsh form of John, so I wouldn’t use John as a middle name for Evan! =)

Elijah Moten sounds best.

Evan sounds too much like Moten.
Emmett the "t" sound doesn’t sound right being repeated with Moten.
3 syllable first name is better with a 2 syllable last name than 2 and 2.

Thanks for all the input. Still haven’t decided but hubby like Elijah and Evan best and I still like Emmett and Evan. lol I think middle name will probably be Theodore since its a family name and seems so go with all three...
