Brea? vs. Bria?

Hey, what do you think of the name Brea? How should we spell it? I’m thinking BREA, because I’m thinking BRIA would get misspelled/mispronounced more often. I love the nn Bree! Also, does Brea age well, or is it childish sounding? Thank You!

it looks incomplete imo sory. id do Breeana or Brianna nn Bree or Breelynn? altho that sounds a lil made up

I don’t care for Brea... BRAY-a... like the La Brea Tar Pits in California

I agree with the above comments, it just seems incomplete. I have a friend that goes by Bree and her name is Brianna. I think Brianna ages well and looks better on the resume. ;)

I like Brea spelling better. I also like the fact that it is not as common as Breanna.

It’s cute, but I really don’t think it’ll age well. It’s a nickname, not really a name on its own. You could name her Brianna, and nn her Brea, but Brianna is pretty common. It’s also a nickname for Sabrina, and I really like Sabrina; it’s pretty, feminine, and not very common. GL!

Our daughter is named Brea. We say it Bray-a but almost everyone says it Bree-a. That iz the only negative for us. We get lots of complments on the name and it does not seem too young sounding of a name.
