I’m not a fan of Rory bc I don’t think it’s pretty for a girl. And it’s more of a nn if anything. Another reason I don’t like it is that it’s kind of hard to say.

I’m sorry but this is one of my all-time LEAST favorite names. I think it sounds so ugly when you say it. The "roar" part reminds me of an animal...and just the overall sound of Rory sounds ridiculous to me. I’m not trying to be mean...just giving my honest opinion on it.

Thanks for your honesty everyone, we appreciate that. We are going to consider going with a longer name with Rory as a nickname. We would at least like to call her Rory when she is little and then she’ll be able to choose for herself when she’s older. We like Aurora and Lorelei too. What do you think? Is Aurora too Disney princessy?

honestly for the longest time i had no clue that Sleeping Beautys real name was Aurora. So i dont see that as a problem and although i love the name Lorelei/Lorelai i dont see how Rory is a nn for it. Even if Gilmore Girls is my fav. show =) GL!

I had never associated Aurora with disney til I saw it on this site!

We live across the river from a town called Aurora, so its not a name around here! I had never heard of it being a person’s name until I saw it on this site!

So I think it is beautiful and unpopular!
