I don’t think they flow... Michael Eugene, Michael Pernell, Robert Eugene or Robert Pernell would flow better. It’s because the accent is on the first syllable of Michael and Robert, and the second syllable Eugene and Pernell.

Robert Eugene & Michael Purnell would be better, in my opinion! I agree with the pp, Purnell and Eugene do sound nerdy and may be the cause of a lot of teasing, sorry!

I have seen your polls before...you seem pretty set on Eugene and Pernell....I dont think that many people share your taste, my self included, that being said they flow alright but I would pick names that wont atomaticly slot your children into a particular social group...ie...nerds. Michael and Robert are fine names and you could use Eugene and Pernell as middles and perhaps call them by thier middle names at home but give them first names that are more well liked by the mainsteam....Sorry.

Sorry, can’t stand Eugene or Purnell. Eugene is the kind of dumb character in "Adventures in Odyssey".

i don’t like Eugene or Pernell, Robert and Michael are just okay. they do flow though, i like Gene, just not Eugene.
