Dilemma vs. Please Help

Hi my name is Kelsey and my husband is Brady, we’re having our 2nd daughter and I want to name her Hadley. But He doesn’t like it at all, our other daughters name is Shalyn Jade. Im at lost what to do should I just forget about the name and move on to a new name or what? Thanks from the Sanders.

If he’s open to it as a mn, maybe do that; however, unless it’s a name you’ve loved since you were for, or it is in honor of someone, I think you should move on.

If he liked a name that you didn’t like at all, you’d appreciate it if he respected your feelings on that, as well.

It really happens to be a name I’ve loved since I was little, I even tried to get my mom to change my name to Hadley or have another baby and when that didn’t happen I tired getting my brother and my sister to name one of there kids Hadley. And the reason Shalyn wasn’t named Hadley is because Bradys aunt passed away and her name is to honor his aunt Shay, thats why Im so torn.

To me there’s really no question here. If he hates it you can’t use it. How would you feel if your places were reversed and he wanted to name the baby something you hated?

I don’t know... since you named your first daughter after his aunt, it seems like you could name your second daughter after your childhood dream... giving and taking is what compromise is all about.

I actually think Shalyn and Hadley sound cute together.
